Melinda Trinfuly recently began work at the HRFA’s Treasurer’s Department as a bookkeeper in June 2008. She grew up in Transylvania, in the village of Lövéte and obtained her bachelor’s degree in computer science from Babes-Bolyai University, Kolozsvár in Erdély. She joined a cultural exchange program and traveled to the United States. Her plans include graduate work in computer science and accounting. Eventually, she plans to return to her homeland. She enjoys working in a place where Hungarian- Americans can communicate with each other in their native tongue. She also appreciates the products HRFA sells and finds that members have much to gain from investing in the HRFA. She is impressed with the interest Hungarian-Americans take in the issues of Hungarian minorities in Transylvania and its culture. 24 FALL 2008 ______MELINDA TRINFULY [
