This year once again many of them participated in the Operation Christmas Child by filling a shoebox with much needed gifts for unfortunate boys and girls around the world. Vice president Desider Tarkanyi and his wife delivered them to the collection center. Katalin Varga Branch Manager and Area Fraternal Coordinator Branch 93—Wharton, NJ Adam Grosz has been a member of Branch 93 for 9 years. He has also been a valuable and highly active member of the American Hungarian Citizen’s League of Garfield, NJ for over 25 years now where he got elected to be the President of the League for the second time and had been the Vice President for the previous 3 terms. His mother Viola Nagy has also been a member of HRFA since 1997 and wherever Adam goes to help, she goes with him. As the manager of Branches 13/93, I would like to thank them for their dedicated volunteer efforts and for all the support they have been extending to the needy in the Hungarian American community. Adam Grosz and Zoltán Simon have both put in countless hours into fixing up the building of the club, painting, repairing and cleaning up the yard for the Dinner Dances that we hold once a month for the Hungarian American community. Zoltán Simon and Adam Grosz Zoltán Simon, the famous poet and successful businessman, who immigrated to the USA in 1956 and has been a member of HRFA since April of 1957, was instrumental in establishing the club as well as providing the much needed cultural programs to preserve the Hungarian heritage in the Garfield area. His first book of poems entitled Kódis-telek was published in October 2003 in Papa (Hungary) and contains poetic gems inspired by the love of his homeland. His poems regularly appear in the Pápai Kristály. He is one of those very few people whose biography was selected to be published in the “Who is Who Magyarországon” series on the spring of 2005: „ Simon Zoltán 1950 - Mezőlaki Színjátszó csoport kiemelkedő tagja és ezt a tevékenységet az USA-ban is folytatta. 1956-tól az USA-ban él, 1957 - egy ifjúsági színpad vezetője 5 éven át (első szereplésük „A vén bakancsos és fia huszár” c.
