Once I receive my Bachelor’s degree, 1 hope to be working with some type of company affiliated with Graphic Design in Pittsburgh. In closing, I would like to thank HRFA and my Branch 134 Manager Mrs. Olga Damay for this very generous gift of selecting me as a student aid recipient. 1 would also like to say thank you to my wonderful parents for the life that they gave me and everything that they have ever done for me. Also, thank you to my grandparents, Ethel and Chick Toth, who recommended me for this scholarship with the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America and who have always supported me in all my interests both social and academic. I hope my success will make them proud.” Rob D. Regner, Branch 151, Darlington, PA: “I attended Thiel College where 1 majored in Conservation Biology. During my time at Thiel, I was a member of their Division 111 wrestling team where I started and lettered for three years, and 1 was a captain for 2 of those years. 1 held a job for the Thiel College computer department, aided in tours for high school seniors interested in Thiel, and held an off campus job at Greenville Wal-Mart. I was also a founding father of a national fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi, where 1 held positions as athletic chair and community service chair. Through Delta Sigma Phi, I participated in Toys for Tots for which our fraternity raised over $2,000. 1 participated in a yearly highway cleanup and also volunteered at the Greenville Good Shepherd Center. My future plans include applying with the Pennsylvania Forestry Service as a park ranger. I was introduced to the HRFA through Joseph Fabri, who helped coach my high school wrestling team. 1 have now been a member for years, and I would like to extent my gratitude to the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America for this scholarship.” Nicholas F. Boyd, member of Branch 15: “I am the son of Jack S. Boyd and Johnette E. Boyd, from Ligonier, Pennsylvania. 1 am currently attending Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina, where I am in my second year. 1 am studying Civil Engineering Technology while I participate in the Francis Marion men’s soccer team. I also participate in basketball and other student activities on campus. When I am at home 1 attend The First Church of the Brethern, located in Ligonier, PA. At school, I participate in the Baptist Christian Ministry for students program.” (Nicholas was recommended by Branch 15 Manager, Clara V. Csikesz) David A. Ter jak, member of Branch 151: “I am currently in the second semester of my junior year at Gannon University which is located in Erie, PA. I have maintained a 3.86 cumulative GPA majoring in Management Information Systems. Gannon has named me to the Dean's List every semester so far. I am a brother and Treasurer in The Delta Chi Fraternity and currently serve as acting Vice-President. 1 am also a member of the university Inter-Fraternity Council and serve as the Vice-President of Finance. I worked as a member of the freshman orientation staff this past summer. In addition, I participate regularly in intramural sports and community service projects, namely, GIVE Day, Relay for Life, and Winners on Wheels. 1 also enjoy competitive golf, playing board games and socializing with my high school and college friends.
