Cindy Torok One Hundred Years Through the Eyes of the Church by Melissa Banyacski Remember Me? I am the structure that embraces worship With windows that see your smiles every Sunday I am the structure with the prodigious bells And worn pews I would give to you Only eternal faith I am the structure that has seen you come and go Who holds perpetual memories I am the structure who has held times of bliss And times of despondency I would give to you Only eternal faith I am the structure who gazes at you gathering here To celebrate my life I am the structure who embraces each and every one of you Now and always I would give to you Only eternal faith. Branch 135 - Gr. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Welcome New Member! A warm welcome is extended to our newest member, Riana Frances Willsie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Willsie of Indiana. This beautiful little toddler is also the granddaughter of Judith Molnár of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, and great granddaughter of the late Agnes and Joseph Molnár, Jr., for many years Branch Manager and Western Pennsylvania District Manager, respectively, of the HRFA. Riana is pictured at the age of 14 months in a lovely hand-embroidered dress brought from Hungary by her late great-grandmother, Agnes. One of Riana’s cousins was baptized in this same dress. Riana’s brother, Grant Martin Willsie, age 2, is also a member of our Branch. God bless all the family members. Remembering Julia S. Nagy It is with great sadness that I report the loss of our dear member, Julia S. Nagy, 65, of White Oak, Pennsylvania, who served as our Branch Secretary for many years. She passed away on Friday, May 16, 2003, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Julia was bom in Trenton, New Jersey, where she graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing. She resided in the Duquesne and McKeesport area after she married Julius Nagy. She was a retired private duty nurse here in our local vicinity. A faithful member of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Duquesne, she was church organist for many years until she became ill, and also was the President of the former Women’s Club there. Funeral services were held at the Church on Monday, May 16th, with the Rev. Dr. Joseph Posta officiating. Branch Manager Mrs. Olga Damay gave a beautiful eulogy, acknowledging Julia’s dedication as Branch Secretary, and her continued participation in our many activities and events. Our heartfelt condolences are extended to her devoted husband, Julius; her daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Ken Kuhar; granddaughters, Jessica and Mackenzie of North Carolina, who were all so special to her; also her dear brother, Lewis Vargo, of Florence, New Jersey; and her sister, Gloria Robb, of Arizona. She is deeply missed by all of her many relatives and friends.
