FRATERNITY Page 17 BRANCH NEWS Branch 4 - Cleveland, Ohio A szeptember 1-én megtartott Cserkész Napra osztályunk tagjának, Vajda Bettynek az őrse több mint 200 db. mézeskalács szívet készített. Betty egy hétig felajánlotta a konyháját, s ott festették, dekorálták a szíveket. Gyönyörű munkájukkal nagyon nagy sikert értek el. Vajda Betty már egészen kis kora óta cserkész, s éveken át mindig részt vett a cserkészek aktivitásaiban, s őrsét, sőt csapatát is sokszor meglepte valamivel. Büszkék vagyunk Bettyre! Clara V. Csikesz, Director Tel: 814-352-8438 Branch 35 - Detroit, Michigan Our fraternal day, held on Saturday, September 14, 2002, was a great success. We had beautiful weather, a great park, and a nice crowd of about 35-40 people. It was a great pleasure to have the Rev. Stefan M. Torok, President/CEO of the Federation, and his wife, Cindy, as our special guests. Rev. Torok is an excellent communicator and people readily liked him, as well as his wife. We had lots of good food and nice Hungarian music. We raffled some nice items: pictures, baskets of flower arrangements, and even a jar of pumpkin butter donated by Sen. Loren Bennett. The kids enjoyed not only the food but the swings, slides, and other games. Families and friends of Branch 35 enjoying the day. We thank all those who lent us a helping hand, and we look forward with much anticipation to next year’s event. Ilona Szabó, Branch Manager Tel: 734-284-7344 Branch 52 - S.
