Community Service at Bethlen Home and Ligonier Gardens Ligonier Middle School third grade classes recently participated in a Community Service Project where they collected toiletries and personal care items for the residents of Bethlen Home and Ligonier Gardens. The students collected over 600 items and presented them to the Activity Department and resident representative Vem Fry on Valentine’s Day. The children displayed the gifts in brightly colored Valentine bags with handmade cards for each resident. The gifts were then distributed among the residents for their daily use. Many of the gifts consisted of shampoo, hand lotions, towels, bath gels, etc. Pictured above is resident Vem Fry with student class representatives displaying some of the items collected for the Community Service Project at Ligonier Middle School. Much appreciation to the students for their selfless services to the residents! Sherry Humberston, Activity Director, The Bethlen Home
