Page 26 TESTVÉRISÉG Branch 165 - Akron, Ohio The delegate election meeting was held on April 30, 2000. Branch President Margaret Sebe opened the meet­ing and welcomed the members. There were 44 members present. Delegate elected: Rev. Tibor Dömötör -1st Al­ternate: Elizabeth Schmidt - 2nd Alternate: Tibor Dömötör. Bryan Mull, Secretary Branch 176 - Gary, Indiana A special meeting of our branch was held for the elec­tion of delegates on May 2, 2000. Prayers were offered by Ft. Alphonse Skerl. President Clara Tothfalusi opened the meeting. The quorum was met, and the meeting was official. Branch Manager Kati Mischak related the history of Branch 176, which was formerly handled by the late Julius Simon. Results of the delegate election meeting: Delegate elected: Katherine Mischak - 1st Alternate: Ft. Alphonse Skerl - 2nd Alternate: Steven Mischak. Branch resolutions for the convention recommended by Joseph Kovács were accepted by the members. The meeting was closed. Some of the members stayed on for the meeting of Branch 62. Dinner was served which consisted of stuffed cabbage, sausages with potatoes and red cabbage. The members also enjoyed the refreshments. A good time was had by all. Steve Mischak, Secretary Branch 182 - Flint, Michigan The special meeting of our branch was held on May 7,2000. There were 32 voting members present, forming a quorum. Young, Secretary Branch 197 - Springdale, Pennsylvania The special branch meeting was held on May 21, 2000. Branch Manager Joseph Berei opened the meeting and welcomed the members. Delegate elected: Maria Berei - Alternate: Joseph Berei. Julie J. Smith, Secretary Branch 202 - Duquesne, Pennsylvania Results of the delegate election meeting held on May 28, 2000 were as follows: Delegate elected: Bertalan Oláh. Bertalan Oláh, Secretary Branch 226 - Richeyville, Pennsylvania The delegate election meeting was held on April 30, 2000. Branch Manager Rev. Alexander Jalso welcomed the members as well as Director Clara Csikesz, official observer of the Federation, and her husband Bela Csikesz. Since the members of Branches 126 and 226 live in close geographical proximity, and since the transportation for some has been a problem, the meetings of the two branches were held at the same place but one after the other, i.e., the meeting of Branch 226 followed that of Branch 126. Rev. Alexander Jalso, Branch Manger Branch 227 - Warren, Ohio The delegate election meeting was held on May 28, 2000. It was opened with a prayer by Branch President William A. Nicholas. The purpose of the meeting was to elect one delegate and two alternate delegates to represent our branch at the upcoming convention. Delegate elected: William A. Nicholas - 1st Alternate: Margaret S. Nicholas - 2nd Al­ternate: Victoria M. Lytle. Margaret S. Nicholas, Secretary Branch 235 - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania On May 25th, 2000, our branch held the delegate elec­tion meeting. Present were 14 members. The meeting was opened with a prayer by Helen Kovács. Delegate elected: Kati Csornán - Alternate: Kathryn L. Lococo. After adjournment, a light lunch was served. Kati Csornán, Branch Manager Branch 245 - McKeesport, Pennsylvania Branch Manager Joseph Berei opened the delegate election meeting on May 21, 2000. Delegate elected: Joseph Berei - Alternate: Jean M. Backus. Recommendations to the convention were discussed and voted upon. Jean M. Backus, Secretary Branch 250 - Woodbridge, New Jersey The delegate election meeting was held on April 25, 2000. President Steve Kovach opened the meeting with a prayer and explained that Rev. Albert Kovács, Secretary, was called away on a personal emergency and therefore asked Mrs. Margaret Pauli, Branch Manager, to act as Secretary in his absence. All those present signed the official voting list, and it was determined that there were 21 registered voters in attendance, which constituted a quorum. Also attending was Director Michael Pauli. Jr. in an official observer capacity. In electing a delegate, President Kovach asked Director Pauli to chair the voting process.
