Branch 1 - Bridgeport, Ohio The annual branch meeting as well as the delegate election meeting were held on May 6, 2000. The reports of the secretary and treasurer were accepted as read. Various topics on life insurance were discussed. Mr. John Koi announced his resignation as President of Branch 1 due to health reasons. Treasurer Suzanne S. Virgulák presented him with a certificate from the HRFA in recognition for his many years of dedicated service. It was nice to see that four generations of Mr. Koi’s family were present at the meeting to witness this honor. We voted that Mr. Koi be Honorary President of Branch 1. The branch officers elected for 2000 are: Alexander Perigyi, President; Vincent Vida, Vice President; Robin Peterson, Treasurer; and Ella Racz, Secretary. Ella Racz, Secretary Branch 2 - Cleveland, Ohio The delegate election meeting was held on April 9th. After the opening prayer, we held the elections. Delegate elected: Ed Szabó - 1st Alternate: Robert Szabó - 2nd Alternate: Rev. István Geczy. Summer programs and projects were discussed. The recommendation of Branch Secretary-Treasurer Ann H. Kovach to donate $500 to the Calvin Synod/Bishop Emergency Fund was unanimously carried. The next branch meeting is scheduled for July 23, 2000. Ann H. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Balint Balogh. Mr. Balogh introduced the official observer from the Federation, V.P. on the Board of Directors László Lipoczky. Attendance was affected by bad weather - unusual for April, it snowed. Therefore, since the quorum was not met, a second meeting was held on April 16th.
