I am also grateful to my aunt, the late Margaret Bodo, who informed me of this award. The monetary help was of great assistance in paying for my college education. Currently, I am a junior at Bowling Green State University, majoring in biology. After completion of an undergraduate degree, I plan to attend graduate school. Thank you.” Carrie R. Bujtor, Br. 176: “I would like to thank the HRFA for the scholarship I received through the recommendation of Julius Simon. It not only helps me with college costs but has given me encouragement during my final year of nursing school. I will soon be receiving my BSN degree from Valparaiso University and plan to work as a critical care nurse. Through school I had the opportunity to be a volunteer for Chicago Cares, which works with many large operations for improving the community. I work as a nurse assistant at a local hospital in my spare time, which not only helps with school costs but gives me valuable experience in a hospital setting. Carrie R. Bujtor Because I am attending a university which is nearby my grandparents, I have had the opportunity to spend time with them. They have given me much encouragement while in school, and it is because of them that I am receiving this scholarship. They have taught me a lot about being proud of my Hungarian heritage.” Glenn A. Gougler, Br. 134: “This a long overdue letter of thanks to you and the members of the HRFA for the scholarship that I received. Taking twenty-one credits gave me a very busy semester. I greatly appreciate the scholarship. It will be put to use to help me to attain my teaching certification in secondary social studies. I hope to encourage students to both celebrate their differences and take advantage of the things that they have in common so that they may become more understanding of each other. Our membership is a prime example of this. Our Hungarian heritage provides us with a unique background from which we can work to help spread the word of God. There are two other people that I would like to thank. First of all, I would like to thank Mrs. Olga Damay who helped me with the scholarship process. I would also like to thank my late uncle, the Rev. Louis Illés. It is only now that I am older that I can better see the messages that he was trying to send me about God as well as our Hungarian past. To all the members of the Federation I thank you once again for not only the scholarship but the work that went into raising money for the scholarship so that members like me are better able to improve not only their lives but the lives of others as well.” Kimberly J. Hite, Br. 134: “I would like to thank you for the generous scholarship that provided me with the opportunity to continue my education. As we all know, tuition Kimberly J. Hite
