FRATERNITY Page 35 Margaret R. Bodo of Canton, Ohio, passed away March 29, 1996. A liftetime resident of Canton, she was a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church, the Co-Weds and Ladies Aid of the church, Manager of Branch 140 of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, F.O.E. McKinley Aerie No. 2370, AARP. Preceded in death by her husband, John Bodo, Jr. in 1988, and a brother, John Szekeres. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law; a daughter and son-in-law; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; four sisters, all from Canton. William Aros was the owner of Aros Insurance Agency for more than thirty years. Before that time he worked as a welder with the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union in Lorain and as a real estate salesman with Hunker Real Estate. Mr. Aros was bom in Lorain and lived there all of his life. He graduated from Lorain High School in 1936. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was stationed in Greenland and worked as a powerhouse engineer, attaining the rank of corporal. He was a member of VFW Post 47 in Lorain for thirty-three years and was a member of the American Hungarian Citizens Club. He was a member of Sheffield Masonic Lodge 628 and belonged to the Ancient Council of Scottish Rite Valley of Cleveland. Mr. Aros was a member of the Senior Citizens Association of Lorain County and the Lorain Real Estate Board. He was also a member of the Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ, where he served as an Englishman chairman. He was a member of the church’s consistory for many years, and he belonged to the Hungarian Reformed Church Brotherhood, Hungarian Young Man’s Society and the Hungarian Reformed Church Sick Benefit Society. He also belonged to the church’s credit union. He served as a Vice-President and member of the Board of Directors of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America for twenty-four years. He was also active in several Hungarian heritage groups. Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Emma, a daughter, a son and four grandchildren. Charles Modory worked for South Bend Lathe as a machinist for twenty years and retired from South Bend Parks Department. He served the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America in various capacities for thirty-two years as Branch Manager from 1952 to 1956; District Manager from 1956 to 1968; and members of the Board of Directors from 1968 to 1984. He was bom November 29, 1914, in Indiana Harbor, Indiana. On May 8, 1937, in South Bend, he married Helen Keresztury, who survives with a daughter, two grandchildren and a great grandchild. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the families of our departed members. We will gratefully remember them for their dedication and many years of service for the Federation and the members entrusted to their care. WILLIAM M.
