NORWALK, CT Branch 52 of the HRFA held its delegate election meeting for the 35th Quadrennial Convention on Sunday, May 19, 1996. The meeting was held at the Hungarian Reformed Church, So. Norwalk, Connecticut, with a quorum of 14 members present. Branch President Ernest P. Virgulák called the meeting to order at 2:05 P.M. He called upon Suzanne S. Virgulák to open the meeting with a prayer. President Virgulák explained that purpose of the meeting was to elect one delegate and two alternates for the convention. Elected were: Linda S. VanBuskirk, delegate; Ernest P. Virgulák, first alternate; Joseph Singola, second alternate. The meeting adjourned at 3:00 P.M. Refreshments were offered and all had an enjoyable afternoon. Helen E. Sontra, Recording Secretary BRANCH 61 - DAYTON, OH The special meeting of our branch was called to order at 11:30 A.M., Sunday, May 5, 1996. Velma Olesh was nominated to serve as Secretary. CHICAGO, IN The special election meeting of our branch was held at the Holy Trinity Hungarian Church Hall, Chicago, Indiana, May 4, 1996. It was opened at 6:00 P.M. with a prayer. The Branch President welcomed the thirty-three members present and stated that the main item on the agenda was the election of delegates and alternates to the 35th Convention of the HRFA. Elected were: Maria Kovács, delegate; Magdolna Hunyadi, alternate delegate. Margaret Balogh, Secretary Congratulations to Margaret Yobbka whose greatgrandchild, Ryann Ann Thompson, was welcomed as our newest and youngest member. Joseph Kovács, Area Director Ryann Ann Thompson BRANCH 67 - SHARON, PENNSYLVANIA Branch President William Szuch opened the special meeting of Branch 67 held at the residence of Bill and Helen Szuch on May 27, 1996 with a prayer. He reported that the quorum was present and outlined the purpose of the meeting as set forth in the By-Laws of the Federation. Elected were: Helen Szuch, delegate; Jim Szuch, first alternate; John Palisin, second alternate. The meeting was closed with a prayer. Members were asked to remain for refreshments and fraternal fellowship. Helen Szuch, Branch Manager and Secretary BRANCH 69 - COLUMBUS, OH The meeting of the Branch 69 was held at the home of Irma Camevale, May 5, 1996,2:10 P.M. The opening prayer was given by Rev. István Nyeste. Rev. Nyeste, who is also President of Branch 69, introduced the Official Observer of the Branch, J. Edward Bihary, Ohio Director, and his wife Genny. President Nyeste stated that the purpose of this meeting was to elect one delegate and two alternates to the 35th Convention and to make recommendations for amendments to the By-Laws and to recommend resolutions for consideration to the convention. Elected were: Irma Carnevale, delegate; Rev. István Nyeste, first alternate; John Gadnai, second alternate. Reverend Nyeste asked us to remember the 100 years of the Federation and also to remember in prayer the deceased officers and members of Branch 69. The meeting was adjourned at 3:45 P.M.
