Page 16 TESTVÉRISÉG A KOSSUTH CLUB NYÁRI PIKNIKJE A hagyományos nagy érdeklődéssel várt Kossuth Club nyári pikniket tartott julius 10-én. A hely a közkedvelt St. Elijah picnic grounds volt. A tervezéstől a megrendezésig minden osztály és minden tag kivette a részét a munkából. A kifogástalan idő messze városokból is ide csalta a szórakozni vágyókat. A jó hangulat alkonyaiig tartott. Délután folyamán bemutattuk Dózsa Györgyöt, az Egyesület elnökét. A helyi vezetőket, és a 62-es osztály legidősebb tagját: Benda Miklós urat, aki 94 éves és 51 éve tagja az Egyesületnek. Jó egészségnek és kifogástalan szellemi élénkségnek örvend. Kedves feleségével megbecsült tagjai voltak mindig a helyi magyar életnek. Koosuth Club Piknikje Ez a piknik nemcsak hangulatban, de anyagilag is eddig a legsikeresebb volt. A tiszta haszon 1480 dollár és az elszámolási bizottság a Student AidFundnak 400 dollárt és a Magyar Katolikus Templomnak 100 dollárt szavazott meg. Kovács Mária, az AMRE 62-és osztály kezelője FRATERNAL ACTIVITIES in the YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO AREA T he summer season proved to be very busy in the Youngstown, Ohio area. The various Hungarian events sponsored by the Federation were well attended, and it seems that activities of this nature are in much demand by young and old. On July 10, 1994 a Church picnic was held at Lorell Park with about JOJÓ people, among them members of Branches 22 and 2J8. The Hungarian Day was held on Sunday, August 14, 1994 at the Hungarian Club on Donald Avenue. Music and dancing began at J:00 P.M. and lasted till the evening hours. My wife and I and many branch members were in attendance. A bacon fry was held on Saturday, August 20, 1994 at 5:00 P.M. at the American Hungarian Church on Mahoning Avenue, with the participation of numerous members of our branch. It is the first time that we had this event on a Saturday at the Church. The Hungarian Heritage Day was celebrated on Sunday, September 18, 1994 at the American Hungarian Club on Donald Avenue in Youngstown, Ohio, and attended by approximately 200-200 people. Vice President on the Board of Directors, John K. Morey had a table to represent the HRFA. The music was furnished by the Steve Pal Orchestra and the performance by the Hungarian Dancers.
