(Our congratulations to Kati and Emil and we wish them a blessed life together. - The Editor) The members of Beaver Falls 3rd Ave. Presbyterian Church and Branch 151 of the HRFA combined to sponsor a Vacation Bible School in July of 1993. This in itself was an unusual accomplishment, but due to the fact that the last Bible School in our church was held over 20 years ago, this indeed was a historic occasion. Another remarkable fact about this event is that our Sunday School consisted of only two children who endeavored to recruit students from their local school and neighborhood, which resulted in bringing over forty children and adults for our Vacation Bible School. The fund to cover the expenses of the school was non-existent, so an appeal was made to the church, whose members responded generously. The theme of the Bible School was “Back to Bible Times.” We learned about creation, the early bible stories, and experienced the visual aspect of “Bible Times”, by starting each day dressed in full costume looking like the people in the Old Testament. Due to the fact that we only have one Sunday School room, we utilized our church sanctuary as a classroom and the churchyard for recreation, refreshment and crafts. Indeed we drew quite a bit of Ms. Kati Csornán escorted by her father Endre Csornán Guests were received at a reception following the ceremony held at the Airport Holiday Inn.
