Page 34 TESTVÉRISÉG I am a US Navy veteran, currently living in Las Vegas, New Mexico. I moved to Las Vegas to attend New Mexico Highlands University after travelling extensively throughout the US. Since being honorably discharged from the Navy in 1987,1 spent most of my time exploring the country either by foot or by bicycle. I have walked the 2,130 mile Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine, hiked the entire state of New Mexico from Mexico to Colorado, and have logged over 5,000 miles bicycling through twenty-three states. Needless to say, my adventures have allowed me to see, first hand, many wonderful and exciting areas and peoples of America. During my travels, I have lived in New York City, Virginia Beach, Virginia, Charleston, South Carolina, and here in New Mexico. It had always been my intention to seek out the true essence of America in my travels and I now believe that I have experienced a grand sampling of it! Once again, I thank you, HRFA, and its caring members for the support I have received. The award will largely help defray the cost of tuition and above all, will always remind me that the HRFA is sincerely committed to supporting its younger members." Endre Csornán, who recommended Kevin, is Vice President, Board of Directors DANIELLE O'MALLEY, Member of Branch 15 "Thank you so much for the gift towards my college tuition. It's greatly appreciated. I am a senior at Case Western Reserve University. I plan to graduate in May with my B.A. in Psychology. I plan to attend graduate school and pursue a degree in Pharmacy. Right now I am involved in the crew team at Case Western Reserve. Thank you again for the gift." KATHERINE O'MALLEY, Member of Branch 15 "Thank you very much for your help with continuing my college education. Currently, I am a sophomore at Kent State University. As treasurer and executive board member of Koonce Hall, I am actively involved in promoting residence hall life and improving the welfare of Koonce residents. Several programs I have helped plan and organize are: recycling for the dorm, parents' weekend to encourage parents' interest and involvement in Kent State, and various social activities to strengthen dorm pride and inspire interaction and friendships between all Koonce Hall residents. Last fall I also joined Kent's crew team. This year I plan to be experienced enough to row with the team at various regattas. This spring I will be studying abroad at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland. I will be attending a small, rural campus, Colesraigne, that is located about an hour outside of Belfast. My major is computer science through the mathematics department. With this degree, I hope to pursue a career as a computer consultant. Once again, thank you for your help." Both Danielle and Katherine were recommended by Clara V. Csikesz, Director PAUL SZABÓ, Member of Branch "I would like to thank the HRFA for their contribution toward my education. I am currently a junior at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. I am pursuing a degree in Political Science with a minor in Sociology. After college I plan to attend graduate school and pursue a career in either Diplomatic Relations or Law Enforcement. Even in college I continue to be active in the church's Youth Fellowship and I am a church usher. I also love sports and some of my pastimes include:
