i FRATERNITY 2) Officers elected for 1991 resigned. Motion was offered and accepted to re-elect the same officers for 1992: Paul Der, President; Franceska Ebner, Vice President; Bela Toth, Treasurer; Eva I. Kiss, Secretary; Teri Pflum, Comptroller; Maria Wood, Secretary of Social Membership. Paul Der accepted the presidency and announced that the date for delegate election meeting was set for April 22, 1992, or April 29, 1992. Stephen Christopher Ebner born on February 15, 1992 is the third grandchild of our past Branch President Stephen Ebner and his wife Franceska. Stephen Christopher is the first child of Stephen Paul and Amy Ebner and is also the youngest member of our branch. We welcome Stephen Christopher in our fraternal society and wish him a blessed and happy life. Eva I. Kiss, Secretary & Branch Manager BRANCH 302 - NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ Presiding officer Julianna Tompa opened the branch meeting on December 2,1991. After a silent prayer, director László Lipoczky called the meeting to order. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read and the treasurer's report was accepted. Donations given: $100 to Transylvanian fund and $100 to Soup Kitchen. Deceased members were remembered in prayer. Benefit dinner was held for Bethlen Home of Ligonier on October 6, 1991. Members Julianna Tompa and Brigitte Dorko prepared the dinner. The net income was $400. Preparation for Christmas party for children of the branch and their parents was discussed. Also date was set for the February 29, 1992 branch dinner. Officers gave a report of fraternal events attended by our delegates. Refugees and disabled were helped by members of the branch. Date for delegate election meeting was set for April 26, 1992. Julianna Tompa, Branch Manager BRANCH 313 - LINDEN, NJ At a meeting held on December 15,1991, officers elected for 1992 were: Rev. Ambrose Batiz, President; John Nagy, Jr., Vice President; Priscilla Hunyady, Secretary-Treasurer. Date for delegate election meeting was set for May 24, 1992. Ambrose Batiz, Branch President Page 27 BRANCH 352 - CLEVELAND, OH Branch President Rev. Aaron Elek opened the meeting with a prayer on December 8, 1991. Previous minutes were accepted as read. Treasurer's report was accepted. Our summer picnic was a huge success. We enjoyed great fellowship and delicious food. The szalonna sütés was enjoyed by members and friends alike. We ask our members to mark July 26,1992 on their calendar for our summer picnic. Pack your picnic basket and join us in fellowship. It will start at 12:00 noon. Officers elected for 1992 were: Rev. Elek Aaron, President; Steven Tabor Sr., Vice President; Irene Elek, Secretary; Jenny Bihary, Treasurer; Goldie Maxim & Rose Muller, Trustees. The date for the delegate election meeting will be Sunday, May 10, 1992. It was suggested that the Federation develop closer ties with the local churches and also develop mission concerns towards Hungary and its neighboring countries as a priority. Rev. Kalman closed the meeting with a prayer for continued success for the Federation and also a prayer for those who have passed away. We thank Mrs. Goldie Maxim and Jenny Bihary for the refreshments. Irene B. Elek, Secretary BRANCH 368 - PASSAIC, NJ At a meeting held on January 26, 1992, the following officers were elected for the year: Robert J. Harsaghy, President; Louis Toth, Vice President; Filomena Harsaghy, Treasurer; Phyllis Zoda, Secretary. Date for delegate election meeting was set for May 3, 1992. Theodore J. Harsaghy Branch Manager BRANCH 369 - MANHATTAN, NY Annual meeting of our branch was held on January 19, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hungarian Reformed Church Hall on 82nd Street, NYC. Presiding officer Dr. Otto Hamos gave the opening prayer and called the meeting to order. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Branch Manager and countersigned by E. Gabriella Mauthner and Leslie Bihary. The treasurer's report was accepted - it stated that the collected premiums were sent monthly to the Home Office. Many individual donations and gifts were sent to the needy Hungarian minorities in Rumania and Czechoslovakia. Deceased: Dr. Joseph Gyimesi.
