Anamaria Dora Stetz Diana Corina Stetz BRANCH 269 - PERTH AMBOY, NJ The branch meeting held on January 12,1992 was opened with a prayer given by Rev. Dr. Francis Vitéz. Thanks was expressed to those who participated in the Christmas program for the Sunday school of the local congregation. Officers for 1992 were elected: Rev. Dr. Francis Vitéz, President; Rev. Bela Poznan, Vice President; Gizella Lenart, Secretary. Date for the delegate election meeting was set for April 5,1992. Wilma Vitéz, Branch Manager BRANCH 300 - WASHINGTON, D.C. Branch meeting was held on January 22, 1992 at the Kossuth House in Washington, D.C. The opening prayer was given by Rev. Imre Bertalan. Paul Der, Branch President, greeted the gathering and explained that Vice President Franceska Ebner could not attend because of illness. Paul Der presented three items on the agenda: 1) Summary of last year's events. 2) Election of new officers. 3) Setting the date for the election of delegates to the Convention. 1) Eva Kiss and Teri Pflum prepared a complete list of members and patrons with addresses and telephone numbers. During the month of December, 430 prospecting letters were sent to Hungarians residing in Washington, D.C. Branch 300 organized the following lectures: a) Zoltán Boros, editor of the Bucharest Hungarian TV. b) István Csutak, Transylvanian Senator, c) Gabor Bodnar, leader of the Hungarian Scout Association, d) Peter Huncik, minority advisor to President Havel, e) László Dobos, leader of Hungarians in Czechoslovakia. f) Laura Faragó, singer of Hungarian folk songs. Treasurer Bela Toth presented the bank account status. Discussion followed on this year's programs. Those present voted for the acceptance of setting aside part of the revenues from the events for Branch 300. A telephone recording will inform people of all upcoming events. The following programs will be held in 1992: February 19: Father Bulanyi's lecture. March 8: Pork-dinner at the Taba Farm in West Virginia. April 18: Concert of the Hungarian Reformed Gimnázium Choir from Kolozsvár. June 6: Plans for attending the Hungarian Day in New Brunswick, NJ. July 5: Plans for attending the Annual Bazaar of the Bethlen Home in Ligonier, PA. September 21: Convention of the HRFA at which members of Branch 300 will be the hosts.
