The meeting was then turned over to Treasurer James Kish for the election of new officers for 1991. Mr. Louis Horcsik made motion that the present officers should be reelected; however, two Vice Presidents should be elected since Rev. Bertalan cannot attend all meetings because of his other commitments. Therefore, Paul Kulcsár was elected second Vice President. The following officers for 1991 are: Samuel Vespremi, President; Rev. Imre A. Bertalan & Paul Kulcsár, Vice Presidents; Louise Vespremi, Secretary; James Kish, Treasurer; Ilona Kulcsár, Au­ditor. Helen Putnoky, Branch Manager BRANCH 50-BUFFALO, NY On March 10, 1991 we held the annual meeting of our branch at the West Side Hungarian Reformed Church in Buffalo, NY. The meeting was called to order at 11:15 a.m. and was opened with a prayer by Rev. András Czecze. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and unanimously approved. No report was submitted by the Treasury. We elected a new vice president, Leslie Kozma, and remembered our past vice president, George Vari, who was a long time member of our church and an active branch officer. The following officers were elected for 1991: Nicholas Bado, President; Leslie Kozma, Vice Presi­dent; Michael Vince, Treasurer; Elvira Petry, Secretary. Plans were made for a meeting to be held in the summer. The meeting adjourned at 11:24 a.m. Elvira Petry, Secretary/Branch Manager BRANCH 52—SO.NORWALK, CT The annual meeting of Branch 52 was held at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Ernest Virgulák at 2:30 p.m. on December 9, 1990. The Branch President Ernest P. Virgulák called the meeting to order and also made the opening prayer. The minutes of the previous meeting and the treasurer's report were approved as read. Donations for 1990 were as follows: Hungarian Reformed Church: $50; Bethlen Home (Resident's Activity Fund): $50; Sunday School: $25. New member, Miss Judy Kucsera was welcomed to Branch 52; her mother was also in attendance. Corresponding Secretary, Mrs. Irene Kurimai, read names of those members and friends to whom she sent cards. Election of officers for 1991 took place. Elected were: Ernest P. Virgulák, President; Joseph Lucskay, Vice President; Joseph Singola, Treasurer; Helen Sontra, Recording Secretary; Irene Kurimai, Corresponding Secretary; Andrew Hutkai, Comptrol­ler. Meeting dates for 1991 were decided. Branch 52 will sponsor a coffee hour on Sunday, June 2nd. Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, December 1, 1991. Refreshments were served and the meeting was adjourned at 4:20 p.m. Helen E. Sontra, Secretary BRANCH 62-EAST CHICAGO, IN On February 22, 1991, 7:00 p.m., Presiding Officer & Branch Manager Maria Kovács called the annual meeting of Branch 62 to order. The opening prayer was given by Director Joseph Kovács. The minutes of the previous meeting and the Treasurer's report were read and unanimously accepted. Maria Kovács reported on last year's fraternal activities, namely the hurka-kolbasz dinner in the spring time, picnic in the summer and the Cultural Ethnic Fair in the fall. "This year we will do it all over again," said Maria Kovács. And all attending members supported the idea. One member, Sándor Lengyel, made a motion that the small profit from last year's fraternal activities should be donated to the Student Aid Fund. Since Br. 62 and Br. 176 actively participated in those activities, each branch donated $50.00 (total of $100.00) to the scholarship fund. Refreshments were served; members played cards, and everyone had a good lime. The meeting adjourned at 10:15 p.m. The next branch meeting and at the same time the house warming party for the Kovács family will be on June 22, 1991, 7:00 p.m., at 4974 W. 82nd Ct., Crown Point, Indiana.
