FRATERNITY Page 19 BRANCH 63 & 81 - BRIDGEPORT & WALLINGFORD, CT A 63-as és 81-es Osztály eredményes munkát végzett 1990-ben. Május 27-én felavattuk az új magyar zászlót mind a két istentiszteleten. Köszönet érte Részöly Lajosnak, Nt. Lukácsi Évának és Nt. Lukácsi Lászlónak, valamint az egész magyarságnak, akik hozzájárultak adományaikkal, hogy meg tudtuk vásárolni a magyar zászlót. Köszönjük Balogh József­nek és Margitay Bélának, hogy jó munkájukkal helyrehozták a régi magyar zászlót, amit a régi magyarság ajándékozott a State Street-i Egyháznak. The annual meeting of Branch 63 was held on January 19,1991 at 7:30 p.m. at the residence of Branch Manager, Louis Reszoly on 125 Harbor Ave., Bridgeport, CT. The meeting was called to order by Louis Barabas. The opening prayer was made by Louis Reszoly. The Treasurer's report was accepted as read by Rosemary Szepesi. Best wishes were extended to Mr. & Mrs. James Balias on the occasion of the birth of their son. The proud grandparents are Mr. & Mrs. J. Balias and Rt.Rev. Dr. & Mrs. John Bütösi. The branch manager mentioned that he visited the elderly in the hospital and those at the Home. The election of officers for 1991 followed. Elected were: Louis Barabas, President; Elizabeth Mocsi, Vice President; Rosemary Szepesi, Treasurer; Klara Barabas, Secretary. The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m. Arrange­ments for the Rose Ball will be discussed at the next meeting. Klara Barabas, Secretary BRANCH 67—SHARON, PA The annual meeting of Branch 67 was held on January 2, 1991, at 7:00 p.m. at the Branch Manager's home. The meeting was called to order by President William Szuch who also gave the opening prayer. The minutes of the previous meeting were properly moved and seconded as well as the Treasurer's report. The members of the branch aided financially the Bethlen Home Bazaar for 10 years. Student Aid was also supported and our hopes are that more members will support this cause in 1991. Members also supported the Bethlen Home with Xmas donations and the Building Fund. Deceased members were Ellen Bookamer, Margaret Gyory and Larry Dudash. A moment of silent prayer was observed for them. Members hospitalized were Vilma Vargo, Susana Paul and Vice President Frank Nagy. We visit the elderly at the Bethlen Home periodically and the members. The officers elected for 1991 are: William Szuch, President; Frank Nagy, Vice President; Helen Szuch, Secretary-Treasurer The next meeting is planned for May 1, 1991, 7:00 p.m., at the Branch Manager's home on 423 Service Ave., Sharon, PA Helen Szuch, Secretary-Treasurer BRANCH 69—COLUMBUS, OH The annual meeting of our branch was held on Sunday, February 3, 1991 at noon at the Hungarian Reformed Church. It was called to order by President Margaret Leonardo and opened with a prayer by Mary Marton. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved by John Gadnai, seconded by Mary Marton. The Treasurer's report was accepted by Clara Sabo, seconded by Bert Wesney. The balance in the Trea­surer's report showed $220.37. Secretary Rose Komives presented a report on the dinner held in April 1990. Although not as many members attended as was expected, it turned out to be a nice event whereby old acquaintances from areas other than Columbus were renewed. This gives us an incentive that we should plan a similar event again and work harder toward a better turnout. A moment of silence followed in remembrance of Otto Leonardo, Branch Manager. The election of officers for the coming year was held. Elected were: Margaret Leonardo, President; Clara Sabo, Vice President; Rose Komives, Treasurer- Secretary. Rose M. Sholtes, President; Pamela Kubida, Vice President-Secretary; William Kubida, Treasurer. Nancy Sholtes, Branch Manager BRANCH 93- WHARTON, NJ President of Branch 93, László Dallos, opened the annual meeting held on January 13, 1991, at 3:00 p.m.
