Casey of Pennsylvania signed a Proclamation to declare the Week of June 10, a Fraternal Week in the Common­wealth of Pennsylvania. Endre Csornán DAISYTOWN WOMAN MARKS 100th BIRTHDAY Elizabeth Sakach of Daisytown celebrated her 100th birthday. Born on July 19, 1890, in Hungary, she came to the United States in September 1920, bringing her two children, Steve Sakach Jr. and Elizabeth (Sakach) Breznak, and three other relatives. Mrs. Breznak now lives with her mother. Mrs. Sakach's husband, Steve Sakach Sr., died in September 1963. ELIZABETH SAKACH In addition to Steve Jr. and Elizabeth, they had three children, Bill Sakach of Lorain, OH; Helen (Sakach) Debreczeni of Daisytown, and Irene Sakach, who died in infancy. Mrs. Sakach has 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grand­children and seven great-great-grandchildren. She is a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Daisytown and an honorary member of Branch 126 of the HRFA. BRANCH NEWS BRANCH 3—FAIRPORT HARBOR, OH Branch 3 held its second annual picnic on August 29, 1990, at the Hungarian Reformed Church. It was well attended by the membership and friends. Beside the usual bacon roast (szalonna), a delicious meal of beef-stew (gulyás) and doughnuts (fánk) was pre­pared by Mrs. Elizabeth Medgyesi, Agent and Branch Vice President. Proceeds from the event will go toward purchasing of Christmas gifts for youth members. We thank all who supported our efforts. Rev. Louis Medgyesi, Director from Ohio BRANCH 35—DETROIT, Ml Meeting was held on October 13,1990, at the Branch office in Lincoln Park, Michigan. The meeting was called to order at 1:30 p.m. by President Samuel Vespremi who is now on the National Board of Directors for Michigan and Canada. Secretary Louise Vespremi opened the meeting with a prayer and read the roll call of officers. All officers attended except V.P. Rev Imre Bertalan who was excused. Branch Manager Ethel Teghze Gerber read the names of deceased members and a minute of silent prayer was observed. May God grant them eternal rest and peace. Secretary Louise Vespremi read the minutes of the last meeting report. These were accepted, motion carried and signed by Treasurer James lüsh and Mary Gebnar. President Samuel Vespremi announced that he was now on the National Board of Directors representing Michigan and Canada after the resigna­tion of Mr. Janos Toth in Canada. His oath was taken at the fall meeting in Ligonier. He informed the members of the new rules govern­ing the student aid fund and that the Bethlen Archives would be built in the near future. Donations for the Bethlen Archives would be appreciated. In September Branch 18 of the William Penn Association held its 50-year award dinner to which
