My goal as Area Manager is to work with the members of the field force to promote and increase membership in the Federation and in our district. Paul Kovács presided the meeting of December 20,1989 that was called to order by Edith Kovács, who also gave the opening prayer. Honored were the deceased members. Mrs. Samantha Springer will be joining us this summer when we will have our annual get-together. Results of our elections for 1990-officers: Rev. Edith Kovács, Secretary/Branch Manager BRANCH 200-KALAMAZOO, Ml The meeting of our branch was held in the Hunga­rian Evangelical and Reformed Church Social Room in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It was held at 3:00 p.m. on February 5, 1989. Mrs. Mihály Mikié opened the meeting with a prayer. Two letters were read. The one dated January 4, 1989 was about the resolution that the member becomes a paid up member at the age of 85 instead of 90 as previously stipulated. The other was a letter from Rev. Imre Bertalan dated January 6, 1989. BRANCH 213—LOGAN, W.VA At a meeting held on January 7, 1990, elected were: Charles Bella, President; C.B. Helen Kayatin, Branch Manager BRANCH 238—YOUNGSTOWN, OH The Presiding Officer, Tilly Tatar, called the meeting of November 26, 1989 to order. Following the opening prayer by Margaret Dubos, the minutes of the previous meeting and the treasurer's report were read and approved. It was announced that a raffle would be held in the spring and the proceeds will go to the Bethlen Home and the Archives. It was reported that two members died, Mrs. Benjamin Szadai and Mrs. Louis Cohen. We all pray that God grant His eternal rest on them. Our members enjoyed visiting Mrs. Adam Hohvart who is 96 years old.
