Page 16 TESTVÉRISÉG PENNSYLVANIA NEWS The members of our branch again celebrated the Christmas Season with a Christmas Party and an ecumenical worship service. Needless to say, December was a very busy month for our branch. Starting with the Christmas Party on the 10th of December, the officers were host to approximately 60 adults and children. A wonderful meal was served and all children received gifts who once again presented a Christmas pageant, highlighting the true meaning of this wonderful season. The following week on Sunday, the 17th of December, an ecumenical worship service was held at the Third Ave. Presbyterian Church for the Hungarian community in and around the Beaver Valley. The Reverend Nicholas Novak from the Pittsburgh Hungarian Church led the service, which included Dr. George Carson, Pastor of the Third Ave. Presbyterian Church, the Pastor of the Christ Lutheran Church, and Father F. Frazir of St. Philomenia Roman Catholic Church. The children of our branch participated by presenting their Christmas pageant. Afterwards a luncheon was prepared and served by the officers of the branch. Mr. Elmer Vargo, President of the William Penn Association, brought greetings of his society and again stressed the need to support both organizations by becoming members so that we might continue having such gatherings, thereby strengthening our Hungarian heritage. Endre Csornán, representing the HRFA, agreed wholeheartedly and warmly thanked everyone for participating at this event. Paul Farkas, Chairman of the Third Ave., Presbyterian Church, and President of Br. 151, acknowledged all guests and commended the children for their fine performance. The joy of this blessed occasion will remain in our hearts for a long long time. Thanks to the HRFA and the William Penn Association who jointly co-sponsored this event.
