FRATERNITY Page 11 BRANCH LIFE — OSZTÁLY ÉLET BRANCH 2 — CLEVELAND, OH More than 100 members of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America assembled to pay tribute to a Fraternal Brother by celebrating Rev. Dr. Stephen Szabo’s 60th Anniversary of Ordination into the Christian Ministry. The planning of a banquet for 300 guests is not an unusual undertaking in many of our larger Hungarian churches, hut to assemble dignitaries, ministers, and public officials requires added able persons to co-ordinate those little “extras” to insure success. Edward Szabó, Ohio Director of the HRFA, accepted the undertaking on behalf of a group of dedicated members of the Federation who worked on planning the anniversary banquet. Following an inspiring church service that lasted nearly 1 1/2 hours, the roast beef stuffed cabbage dinner (with trimmings) was continued until 4 o’clock with an endless stream of greetings from Dr. Szabo’s many friends and well wishers, far and near. In addition to the personal gifts to Dr. Szabó, the Church received a nice donation for being the host church. Truly a great privilege in the truest sense of fraternal and social service to our dear friend and a person who served on the Board of Directors of the HRFA for 24 years. Members of the HRFA: Julia Reitz, Irene Waszil, Betty Hartman, Louise Luschek, Steve & Olga Kish, Janet Ta- jgiszar, Edward Szabó and other members in and out of the First Hungarian Reformed Church assisted to help where and when needed to host the Annual Youth Conference on May 1-3, 1987. The annual bowling banquet was an event that was enjoyed by the First Hungarian Reformed Church League. Our congratulations to Louis & Julia Szonyi, their daughter Louise Luschek, and son-in-law Mike Reitz, who were the season champions. All but Mike are members of the HRFA. Lucy & Ed Szabó supplied all the refreshments for the party of 50 bowlers and guests on behalf of the HRFA. Edward Szabó, Ohio Director BRANCH 4 — CLEVELAND, OH Junius 22-én ünnepelte 40-ik házassági évfordulóját Pathko John és felesége. A házaspár Komárom megyébó'l származik. Abel Jolán, Osztálykezelő Mr. & Mrs. John Pathko BRANCH 50 — BUFFALO, NY On July 12, 1987 the West Side Hungarian Reformed Church held its second picnic of the summer at the Kossuth Park in Grand Island, NY. Everybody enjoyed the fine Hungarian food and music. The picnic was a great success because of the help of the members of the church, many of whom are also members of the Federation.
