Page 10 TESTVÉRISÉG BRANCH 63 - BRIDGEPORT BRANCH 67 - SHARON President Frank Nagy called the annual election meeting to order. Louis Rezsoly led in prayer. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved by Louis Barabas and Elizabeth Szalai. The following were elected to office: Rt. Rev. Dr. John Butosi, president; Frank Nagy, vice president; Louis Barabas, treasurer; Elizabeth Szalai, secretary. Plans were begun for the next meeting at Bessemer Center. A trip to Atlantic City is also being considered. Members will go with Louis Rezsoly to Danbury for the dedication of the new Hun- garian Club. At the annual election meeting President William Szuch opened with a prayer. A report about the cash and craft donations in the past year to the Bethlen Home Bazaar, activities fund and the Student Aid Fund was made. These are the projects which will be supported in 1987 by the branch. The following were elected: William Szuch, president; Frank Nagy, vice president; Helen Szuch, secretary-treasurer. The meeting was closed by William Szuch, president, with prayer. Helen Szuch, secretary BRANCH 80 - PERTH AMBOY At the annual election meeting the following were elected officers: Rev. Stefan M. Torok, president; Helen St. Miklossy, vice president; Daniel Bartha, treasurer; Albert St. Miklossy, secretary. Plans were made for future meetings. The branch manager reported the death of Rev. Steve Marosy. Mr. Marosy was born and raised in Perth Amboy and had been a member of the Hungarian congregation there. He graduated from Rutgers in 1936 and from New Brunswick Theological Seminary in 1939. He served as pastor in various American language congregations although he was fluent in Hungarian. He was chaplain in the U.S. Army from 1942 until 1946 and served on the post in the Aleutians. During the last few years he had been very ill with Parkinson’s disease. BRANCH 62 - HAMMOND The presiding officer of the annual election meeting was branch manager Joseph Kovács. Maria Kovács led the members in prayer. The kolbász preparing group reported a profit of $72.30 on the sale of 75 lb of kolbász — this sum was added to the treasury of the branch. The following were elected: István Bujtor, president; Joseph Szilagyi, vice president; Maria Kovács, secretary-treasurer. Plans were begun for the participation in the folk fair which will be on September 12, 13. We will sell diós, mákos kalacs and kolbász sandwiches. Hungarian Dancers will represent the HRFA on this occasion. A June meeting was planned. Maria Kovács BRANCH 84 - CHICAGO Catherine Maloney, branch manager was presiding officer at the annual election meeting. The opening prayer was given by Julius Budos. The following were elected: Catherine Maloney, president; James Gall, vice president; Ted Bancsi, treasurer; Mary Igyarto, secretary. There was a discussion of the possibility of a dinner dance. The new rates and options for members were introduced in order to promote more sales.
