John Mészlenyi, László Keines, László Meszleuyi, Director Edward Szabó, John Abel (Student Aid recipient, John Meszlenyi, is an above 3.0 student at Cleveland State University where he is planning to major in accounting/fi- nance.) At the December meeting the following were elected officers for the year 1987: Julia Leszko, president; Eva Menyhárt, vice president; Susan Szabó, secretary; Jolán Abel, treasurer; Irene Ko­pás, controller. Plans were begun for the 1987 activities. Jolán Abel MEETINGS OF MEETINGS A meeting was held June 14, 1986 combined with an outing at the presidents home. The meet­ing was brief as it was a cook-out. A meeting was held August 16, 1986 at the Branch manager’s home and the proper procedure was followed, the minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved, also a Student Aid re­cipient was visiting and was honored. The annual meeting for electing of officers for 1987, was held Dec. 13, 1986 at the branch man­ager’s home combined with a Christmas party. Several of our members were planning to visit two of our members that are in nursing homes near by and we later in the evening had a carry-in dinner. The officers elected were: Dorothy Batiz, pres­ident; Elvira Kajzer, vice president; Helen K. Mo- dory, secretary; Catherine Kerestury, treasurer. Since the branch manager will be out of state until March, a meeting will be called sometime in March, 1987. Helen K. Modor)', Br. Manager BRANCH 21 - TOLEDO, OH Reverend Andrew Harto — pastor emeritus of Calvin United Church of Christ, Toledo, died August 1st in his home in Matthews, North Carolina. Mr. Harto was born in Hungary and came to the United States at 8 years of age. He was a graduate of Bloomfield College and Seminary, Bloomfield, NJ and served Hungarian Reformed congregations in South River, NJ, Phoenixville, PA, Perth Amboy, NJ, South Norwalk, CT and for twenty years in Toledo, Ohio. In every com­munity where he served, he took part in the min­isterial, church and city activities. Throughout his career he served as president of the National Hun­garian Ministerial Association, chairman of the committee on Christian Education for the Calvin Synod, synodical youth director, member of the Board of Directors of the Ohio Council of Churches, to mention just a few of his many areas of service. He is survived by his wife Margaret, two daugh­ters, two sisters and a brother. He will be missed by us all who had come to know him. BRANCH 22 - YOUNGSTOWN, OH The annual Fall Bazar of the Hungarian Presby­terian Church was held in October 1986 at which members of Br. #22 took part and helped out in many activities. Full course dinners including stuffed cabbage with kolbász were served. Games were played in the late afternoon. The bazaar was a great success and an even more successful one is anticipated in the spring of 1987. Also in October, the festivities commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the Revolution of October 23 were held by the Hungarian Freedom Fighters at Mr. Anthony’s. Approximately 250 people had attended and everyone seemed to enjoy the din­ner and the program that followed. Branch #22 was well represented: Branch Manager John K. Morey and his wife, Patricia; Branch President Steven Szabó; Rev. Sándor J. Farkas, who gave the benediction, and Dr. Paul Cerbus, retired music professor, who played the piano.
