A gyűlést Frank Holbok, az 50-es osztály elnöke nyitotta meg rövid imával. Majd a branch manager megemlékezett a Református Egyesület fennállásának 90. évfordulójáról, megalakulásáról, testvérsegítő munkájáról, A gyűlésen jelenlevők egyhangúlag újra választották a múlt évben megválasztott tisztviselőket. At the election meeting the following were elected officers for 1986: Frank Holbok — president, George Vari — vice president, Elvira Petry — secretary, Michael Vince — treasurer. The bus trip to Hamilton, Ont. for the Kantus concert was discussed and plans were made for branch activities in the summer. Elvira Petry, Branch Manager, Secretary BRANCH 52 - BRIDGEPORT On Palm Sunday, March 23, 1986, the 40-voice Kantus of the Reformed College of Debrecen, Hungary, performed at Klein Memorial Auditorium, in Bridgeport, CT. The concert was attended by 900 persons who enjoyed the Hungarian folk songs, the secred, secular and classical selections which the choir presented under the direction of Sándor Berkesi. This Connecticut performance was the second stop on the Kantus’ three- week, 18 city tour of the United States and Canada. The very successful concert was sponsored by the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, the eight Hungarian churches of Connecticut, and several local Hungarian organizations. The HRFA was represented on the Connecticut Committee by Branch Managers John Koi, Louis Reszoly and Ernest Virgulák. Serving as Recording Secretary for the Committee was Suzanne Virgulák, Vice President of the Board of Directors. On Sunday, June 29, 1986, the Connecticut branches will celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the HRFA with a banquet at the Bessemer Center in Bridgeport, CT. Festivities will begin with dinner at 1:30 PM, followed by the Bartók Bela Men’s Chorus from New Jersey. HRFA President Imre Bertalan will give a short talk on the work of the Federation; and, Statue of Liberty awards will be presented to members and friends, attending the dinner, who came to the U.S.A. through Ellis Island. We invite all Connecticut Federation members and their friends to join us at this very special celebration. Further information and tickets are available from the area Branch Managers (J. Koi, L.
