FRATERNITY Page 11 BRANCH 4, CLEVELAND, OH Rebecca Nagy was a recent recipient of stu­dent aid. Rebecca a life­long member of Branch 4, has completed her third year at Kent State University. Her course of study is therapeutic rec­reation. Her after school activities have been con­centrated on the Fair- mount Center for the Performing Arts and 4-H clubs. All of us wish continued success to Reb­ecca in her studies. BRANCH 6, PITTSBURGH, PA Beverly J. Borsos was also a recent receipient of student aid — the sum came “at a much needed time during my school­ing. It was used to buy text books for studying. Enclosed is a picture of myself, in uniform, hold­ing your check!” BRANCH 22, YOUNGSTOWN, OH Branch 22 members were actively involved all day on April 27th with the annual church bazaar. Special guests at the event were National Trea­surer William Puskas, his wife, and Mrs. Imre Bertalan who were on their way back to Mary­land after the Ohio — western states and Canada district meeting in Lorain. In addition to helping with preparations before the bazaar day, members of Branch #22 helped by cooking, serving and selling different items at the craft table. At the May 5th meeting the following were elected officers: Stephen J. Szabó, III, president; John K. Morey, vice-president; Patricia M. Morey, secretary-treasurer. Director Joseph Benedek was the guest speaker and reported on some of the benefits that the HRFA provides to its member­ship. A report of the 1984 Convention was also given. Plans were begun for the following events — 80th Anniversary of the church, Oct. 1985; fall bazaar on Oct. 27; possible joint activity with branches 227 and 252 on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the HRFA. The meeting was ad­journed with a prayer. Patricia Morey BRANCH 31, LORAIN, OH The meeting of Branch 31, held on January 27, 1985 at 4000 Obedin Ave., was opened by President Michael Pennington at 2:30 p.m. with a prayer offered by Sharon Pennington. The president requested a moment of silent prayer for members who have passed away in 1984,' Mrs. John Dohányos, Mrs. Rose Ostrangnai and Steve Borso. Report was made by the delegates of the 32nd convention of the Hungarian Reformed Federa­tion of America. Emma Aros reported $30.00 was given to the Student Aid by the delegates of Branch 31. Officers of Branch 31 were elected for 1985, President William Aros, Vice-president Michael Pennington, Secretary-Branch Manager Emma Aros. Get-well cards were sent to members reported in the hospital, Elizabeth Bucsi, Yolanda Mason, Charles Elek, Sr., Mark Salva, Joseph Szanto, Olga Komives. Donation was sent to the Bethlen Home Bazaar. At the April 28th meeting, opened by William Aros, president at 2:20, the prayer was offered by Michael Pennington. Report was made by branch manager and sec­retary, Emma Aros. Happy Announcements — Christine Kish will be married on Sept. 21, 1985. Anniversaries of members: Joseph and Dolores Salva, Ernest and Inez Molnár. Expression of Sympathy to the Koos family in the loss of husband and father and member of Branch 31, Steve Koos. Memorial donation was sent to the Bethlen Home. Get-well card sent to Helen Kayatin, who had open heart surgery. New member enrolled — Ronald Komives. Re­quest was made for members to support the Stu­dent Aid Fund. Meeting was adjourned at 3:00 p.m. with a prayer by William Aros. Emma Aios
