Page 18 TESTVÉRISÉG DEBUTANTE BALL AT CLEVELAND, OH The gala social event of the Buckeye Road community was held on Saturday, April 9th. This was the night of the annual Bethlen Benefit Ball with the presentation of eleven lovely debutantes. A capacity crowd of friends and relatives were on hand and enjoyed the festivities of the evening. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the debutantes being escorted by their father. They wore pastel gowns and carried a nosegay. The debutantes shown in the picture are: Regina Bednarsky, Deborah Bozsvai, Robin Dunn, Christina Fenn, Nancy Kikta, Maureen Kilroy, Betty Ann Kune, Debra Lahuta, Suzanne Pech, Nancy Spisak and Sharon Vargo. This affair is sponsored each year by the Women’s Guild of the First Hungarian Reformed Church under the leadership of Betty Galgany, Chairman, Ida Csongei, Co-Chairman and Rose Kaul, Chairman of the Debs. The proceeds are shared with our Bethlen Home in Ligonier, Pa. who give Christian love, care and understanding to the guests. The Administrator of the Bethlen Home, Rev. Paul Kovács and his wife were in attendance along with Mr. and Mrs. Elmer E. Vargo, Mr. and Mrs. William Szuch and László Keines from the Hungarian Reformed Federation. This church stands as one of the pillars in donating to the Bethlen Home. Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation are extended to the Women’s Guild, the Pastor, Dr. Stephen Szabó and all who helped make it a success. May God bless you all, as your continued support to the Bethlen Home will help to carry out our fraternal and charitable acts. E. E.
