Hungarian Reformed Church (South Norwalk), Easter Communion Elements in memory of Andrew Kurimai and Alexander Csik; Bethlen Home; HRFA Scholarship Fund; Bethlen Home Bazaar; Hungarian Reformed Church (South Norwalk) towards use of parlor for branch meetings; Sunday School of Hungarian Reformed Church, towards Christmas Party; Hungarian Committee of Norwalk and Vicinity towards Hungarian Heritage Wall Plaque. In addition to the above donations, individual members donated craft and gift items and checks to the Bethlen Home Bazaar. We look forward to a busy year in 1983, hoping to include in our activities a joint event with the other branches in the state of Connecticut. Suzanne S. Virgulák MRS. CLARA CSIK Members and friends of Branch 52 mourn the passing of Mrs. Clara Csik, who died on October 6, 1982 after a short illness. She was the mother of Alexander Csik, a former district manager with the HRFA. Mrs. Csik was the beloved grandmother of Mrs. Suzanne S. Virgulák, Mrs. Margaret S. Betts, with whom she resided, and Mrs. Linda S. Van Buskirk. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Virgulák is section manager in Connecticut for Branches 52, 247 & 365. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 9, 1982 in the Hungarian Reformed Church in South Norwalk, CT with Rev. Zoltán Szabó officiating. Branch 52 extends its sincere sympathy to the bereaved family. MAY SHE REST IN PEACE. ^ Jörn E.P. V. BRANCH 67 — SHARON, PENNSYLVANIA With all officers present, the President opened the meeting with a prayer. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The President and members present are happy to have our Vice President Frank Nagy back among us after his illness. Frank thanked all members that remembered him with cards and visits from the President. The Secretary reports that a thank you was received from Debbie Mondon, Activity Director fo the Bethlen Home, for the generous donations received from members of Branch 67 for the Annual Bazaar. It was a successful and well attended affair by many members and friends. The Secretary requests that members should remember to support the Scholarship Fund of the H.R.F.A. as they had in the past. Juvenile members were again remembered with Christmas treats donated by member Jim Szuch. With the elderly patients in mind, a donation of a “Portable Muscle Stimulator” was made for the Therapy Department of the Bethlen Home by member Jim Szuch. It was good to hear comment by Rev. Silay a patient, that the Stimulator was a help to his problems. The Secretary requests that members remember Mrs. John Fónagy, a new patient at the home with greetings of some kind. She is a member of Branch 67. The President brings it to the attention of members present that Fraternalism is a family affair and to have the family grow we must secure new members. Please keep this in mind. At this time the agenda of the meeting comes to the order of business when officers are to be elected for 1983. The President turns the chair over to member John -Palisin to conduct the election of officers. The chair opens the meeting for nominations from the floor. A motion was made and properly seconded that the present officers be reelected for the year of 1983. The Chairman asks the Secretary to cast a ballot for the following officers: President William Szuch; Vice President Frank Nagy; Secretary Helen Szuch. In the name of the officers the President thanked the members for their confidence. Officers were installed by the election chairman. The next meeting will be held April 6, 1983, the first Wednesday of April. With no further business a motion was made and properly seconded to close the meeting. William Szuch, President closed the meeting with a Prayer. Helen Szuch 11
