The Hungarian Reformed Federation of America met at the home of Branch Manager Elizabeth Patonai, 641 Lehigh Ave., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio at 2:30 p.m. with 9 members present. President John Sunyecz opened the meeting and welcomed the members on this first meeting of the New Year and wished everyone a blessed New Year. He then asked his son. John A. Sunyecz to open the meeting with a prayer. He asked for the reading of the minutes of the December meeting. Mrs. Sala read the minutes and they were approved and accepted as read. Branch Manager Mrs. Patonai announced that two of our members underwent surgery during this month, namely Mrs. Margaret Race who had a cataract removed from her left eye. She is convalescing in her home. Mrs. Barbara Sunyecz had her right hand operated to relieve a blocked nerve which was causing a numbness in her arms. She too is convalescing and hopefully both members will soon be feeling good as new. Mr. Patonai then read a letter from the Home Office in which they stated that those members carrying a Paid Up Policy with double indemnity will no longer have to pay the premiums for same, they are automatically paid up to age 65 when the rider is no longer in force. This comes into effect as of January 1, 1983 as voted on by the Actuary. We are sure this is a welcome addition to the certificate holders whose certificates are now paid up. There being no further business she announced that the next meeting will be held February 20th at 2:30 p.m. at her home. Meeting was closed with members joining in the Lord’s Prayer. Coffee and cookies were then served. Anna R. Sala At the January 16, 1983 meeting the following officers were elected: President Louis J.
