Mr. Albert Oris The year 1979 is a historical mark in the youth work. This was the first time that the National Annual Youth Camp was sponsored jointly by Calvin Synod, United Church of Christ and the Hungarian Reformed Church in America. It was held at the Presbyterian Camp three miles east of Ligonier, Pa., from August 19th to 25th. The young people visited the Nursing Home and were the guests of the Bethlen Home for refreshments. The Federation was represented by the President and the Secretary at the camp. On August 23rd Thursday evening the President presented the donation of $1,000 to the Calvin Synod and another $1,000 to the HRCA. The Secretary made a promotional speech to the youth. They also visited the Youth Camp on Friday. We thank God for this daring and pioneering policy and work of the leaders of the two denominations. May God bless their efforts with even greater success. Our New Brunswick branch 302 held a special donation party for the members contributions to the bazaar of the Bethlen Home. The party was sponsored by Rev. Imre Bertalan and Mr. George Dózsa Board members, Mr. William Puskas area manager and Mrs. Ida Bankó manager of branch 302. Seven cartons were filled with the new gifts donated by the members.
