Hon. Milton J. Shapp, Governor of Pennsylvania, signs the Proclamation of June 8-14, 1977 as Fraternal Week. families celebrated the safe return of Col. Hugh J. Lynch and family from Brussels, Belgium. Colonel Lynch spent three years in Belgium. It was an important mission in the service of our country. It was a happy family reunion of relatives. Col. and Mrs. Lynch and their children are Federation members. From 50 candidates the wife of Dr. Kurt Bengs- ton, nee Anna Halo, the daughter of Dr. Tibor Halo, Section Manager, was selected and elected the professor of mathematics by the California State University. We were glad to read about the good news of the successful career of a member of the HRFA belonging to our Lincoln Park Branch No. 35. According to the information received from Vice- President William Szuch, Lennie Krichko, a former Pennsylvania high school standout is one of the most impressive young track performers in the U.S., and a potential 1980 Olympic performer. He completed his associate degree at the Pittsburgh Allegheny Jr. College where his athletic and academic accomplishments were: 3 time All American honors, 4 time National record holder anad 3 time National Champion. He was invited to the National Track and Field Hall of Fame in 1976 and will participate again in 1977. Lennie was selected into Who’s Who in Junior Colleges of America for academic standing, community service, leadership ability and future potential. Lennie just accepted a full scholarship to Clemson University to continue his undergraduate studies in recreational administration. We are proud of Lennie’s accomplishments and hope that his competitive drive will set an example to follow. Lennie and his two sisters are members of Branch No. 67. The “Nanassy” name is a highly respected and honored name among the Hungarians in the U.S. A letter received from Mrs. Irene Nanassy Novak informs us about the career of Dr. Louis C. Nanassy who is professor in the Department of Business Education in Montclair State College, Upper Montclair, N.J. He has been visiting professor at many universities. He edited the Business Education Index magazine for thirty years. Professor Nanassy is co-author of the Reference Manual for Office Workers. It contains 15 chapters of useful information for business students, teachers and office workers. According to our master file the Federation has 15 Nanassy members.
