I President of the Federation was the main speaker. Branches 2, 4 and 352 were represented hy many members. The toastmaster introduced the following persons: Mr. Elmer Vargo, Secretary-elect; Mr. László Kernes, Area Manager; Mr. Joseph Arnosky, Section Manager; Mr. Sándor Szabadkai and Mrs. Jolán Abel, Branch Managers. The Rt. Rev. Aaron Elek, pastor, thanked the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America for the large representation. New Pastor Installed in Bridgeport, Conn. The Rt. Rev. Dr. John Butosi, Bishop of the Calvin Synod on December 5th was installed into his new pastorate position in Bridgeport, Conn. The pastors of the Eastern Classis participiated in the instllation service and were introduced with their wives at the banquet. The Secretary reminded the congregation that the Hungarian Reformed Federation hy granting the mortgage helped to build the beautiful, modern and well furnished Bessemer Hall. Mr. Andrew Kurimai Board of Director and many members of our Bridgeport Branches 1 and 63 and South Norwalk Branch 52 were present. Andrew J. Szabó Mr. Andrew J. Szabó was manager of our Canton, Ohio branch for 33 years. He built up the branch membership from 60 to 300. He was born in Transylvania and emmigrated to the U. S. in 1914. After 45 years of employment he retired from the Republic Steel Corporation. His death was a great loss to the Federation. Kossuth Plaque Donated to Federation Mrs. Josephine Horvath donated a Kossuth Plaque to the H.R.F.A. through the effort of Mr. Matthyas Kemenes, manager of our Cincinnati Branch 386. The artisticly made plaque of Louis KosMr. Ernest Molnár, President of Branch 31 & 31A and Mrs. Emma Aros, Section and Branch Manager at the new office location. The Esquire Building, 4000 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio suth by her late husband, Bela Horvath, will be placed in the Executive Meeting Room of the Kossuth House in Washington, D.C. The Federation extends deep appreciation to Mrs. Horvath. Federation Anniversary At Cleveland The 80th anniversary dinner-dance held in Bethlen Hall on November 6 in Cleveland, Ohio was a huge success and the gayly decorated hall, in the American and Hungarian colors was filled to capacity. The program was under the direction of Secretary-elect Elmer E. Vargo who was Chairman and also Master of Ceremonies. The beautifully printed bicentennial souvenir program was dedicated to our forefathers for making it possible for us to celebrate this 80th anniversary. The anniversary greetings were extended by the President, Dr. Zoltán Beky. Presentations to 52 year members, Mrs. Maria Kautzky and Mrs. Julia Barna were made by Rev. Arpad George. Others honored were Mrs. Mary Balogh, Mrs. Elizabeth Livak, Mrs. Anna Kara and Mrs. Barbara Muskoczky, for their past loyal and faithful service to the Federation. A plaque in honor of Mr. Gazel Vespremi, Vice President and Director was presented posthumously by Mr. László L. Eszenyi. Dancing followed the program and the evening of fellowship was concluded with the raffle. Grateful thanks and acknowledgement of all serving on the committee was extended by the Master of Ceremonies in hopes that we may continue to serve our members in the building of the Federation. 4
