It is among the first where security is concerned. Our assets passed the 17 million mark this year. Certificates in force are almost 50 million. We should note these facts with gratitude to God and with joy. THE ROSS-CASE I am happy to report that the Ross-case lasting more than two years was decided by the Court in our favor. We won our case. The opposition did not accept the verdict and asked for a new trial. As the judge refused, they appealed. BETHLEN HOME The property situation of our Bethlen Home was finalized in accordance with the resolution of the Convention. In the Board of Directors of the Bethlen Home and the Board of Managers, the Controller and I participated in accordance with our By-Laws. The Superintendent will report for our Bethlen Home and for the Bethlen Freedom Press and he will also bring the recommendations of the Board of Bethlen Home and Bethlen Freedom Press. We continued to maintain good and cordial relationship with the churches. We participated in their meetings, and served at their anniversary services regardless of denominational affiliations. In connection with the proposed unity of Hungarian Churches, we were requested by the National Presbyters Association and the Ministerial Association and also by the two bishops of the two denominations to summon a meeting of all interested parties and to contribute to the expenses of such a meeting. The Executive Officers felt it very important not only from the viewpoint of the unity of the churches, but also for the very best interests of our Federation and $1,000 were given for the funding of such meeting. For this we ask the approval of the Board. ADMINISTRATION The duties and privileges of the President are described in paragraph 44 of our By-Laws. I have already reported on many of my duties during my present report. A special committee will have the opportunity to look into the work of my office in detail and therefore I wish to mention only a few items: As President I supervised all offices and departments of the Home Office. I have examined and countersigned all deeds, certificates, checks and drafts. I have called and presided over 53 Executive Committee’s meetings, when such were necessitated by important Federation matters such as purchase and sale of bonds, mortgage investment, etc. I have exercised my cultural and fraternal responsibilities in accordance with our By-Laws. I held many lectures and wrote many articles for church and seculars magazines and papers. I have made the required reports. I participated in the planning of the Convention by writing articles and preparing programs. I have represented the Federation in many instances. I have edited the Fraternity magazine, our official organ. The Secretary and I conducted Hungarian Worship services in Washington, D. C. and administered the sacraments. IN MEMORIAM Our past Medical Director, Dr. Ferenc Horvath, who served our Federation faithfully and with dedication for more than 30 years died on November 9, 1972, at the age of 80. As I reported already, Dr. Paul G. Harsányi was elected by the Board to take his place. On July 18, 1972 Mrs. Janos Csorba, a member of our Home Office staff died. On July 6, 1972 the Rev.
