ward, but also to the honor of our Federation. No honorarium is given for this advisory position. The Advisory Board meets twice a year and approves the grants to the small businessmen. The budget runs in the billions. I am happy to report that I have been helpful in many instances for our fellow American-Hungarian small businessmen.

PERSONAL CHANGES

During the last year Mrs. Paul Harsányi resigned from her position in the Office of the Treasurer due to the transfer of her husband to Philadelphia. Mrs. Irene Simon was transferred from the Office of the Controller into the Office of the Treasurer.

For two years the wife of the Secretary substituted for a secretary in our Secretary’s Office. Our September meeting took care of the proper financial recompensation and for her faithful services rendered we wish to express our thanks. By January 1, we secured the services of Mrs. Klara Tabler, whose secretarial training and knowledge of both languages proved to be satisfactory.

To fill the vacancy in the Controller’s Office Mrs. Violet Herman was hired.

The personnel of the Home Office is as follows:

President’s Office: Mr. Béla Tóth, presidential secretary.

Secretary’s Office: Mrs. Klara Tabler, Mr. Dezső Garanyi and Mr. Tibor Baksy.

Treasurer’s Office: Miss Elizabeth Balázs and Mrs. Irene Simon.

Controller’s Office: Dr. Zoltán Kőrössy, Mrs. Katalin Paschke, Mr. Gyula László, Mrs. Vilma Csorba, Miss Elizabeth Nagy, Mrs. Katalin Galánthay-Nagy and Mrs. Violet Herman.

I am grateful to Almighty God that He gave me strength to carry out my many duties. I am grateful also for his recent warning to me, He tried me, but He also lifted me up and gave me strength to continue in my work.

I am grateful to my fellow-officers. I am grateful to my secretary Béla Tóth, who brought me every day all documents even in the hospital, that no important matter suffered any delays. I am grateful to the members of the Board, to the workers in the Home Office, to our field force who worked so successfully in building up our Federation during the past year.
