the H. R. R. P. wiU sponsor a grape festival dance in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania for the financing of the program. September 2-6 — Bethlen Youth. The Bethlen Youth Federation of the Hungarian Reformed Church in America will hold its youth camp at the Jumonville Training Center of the United Methodist Church in Uniontown, Pa. Rev. Barnabas Roczey, host pastor and Mr. Frank Papp, president wiR be in charge of the camp. Rev. Imre Bertalan and Rev. Louis Illés camp counselors are doing their very best to make the 1971 camp a success. The Rev. László Papp, guest minister will deliver the keynote address on the theme of “Hungarian Reformed Tradition.” President Béky and Secretary Arpad George made arrangements to personally deliver the H. R. F. A. subsidy check for $1,000. September 3 — Bethlen Freedom Press. The Board of Directors of the Bethlen Freedom Press will meet in the Fraternal HaU of the Bethlen Home. September 4 — Field Force. Our field force members will start their regular 17 From the Office of the Secretary CALENDAR OF EVENTS July 3-31 — Hungarian Summer School. The Bethlen Home in Ligonier, Pennsylvania sponsored again in 1971 a four week Summer School under the supervision of Bishop Louis Nagy, superintendent. Reverend Kalman Csia, Reverend Gyula Ruszkai, Mrs. Joseph Urban and Marika Behr taught the children religion, Hungarian writing and reading, Hungarian geography and history and Hungarian folk-dance. Miss Lori Parker, the grand-daughter of President Beky was also a great asset to the staff as assistant teacher. Fifty- three children paid the registration fee which included room and board. The examination festival was held on July 31st in the presence of the members of the Board of Management, parents, grandparents and relatives. President Zoltán Beky praised the teaching staff members for their excellent work. The annual subsidy of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America to the Bethlen Home exceeds the amount of $25,000. August 15-21 — Youth Camp. Calvin Synod’s one week Youth Camp was held at Camp Kanestake in Spruce, Pennsylvania. Bishop Arpad Beretz received valuable cooperation from Reverend Leslie Medgyessy, camp director and Mrs. Medgyes- sy, who spoke on the camp theme: “The King and I.” The subsidy check of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America in the amount of $1,000 was given to Bishop Arpad Beretz by President Beky and Secretary Arpad George. August 22 —WEDO Radio. In accordance with the request of the Western Pennsylvania Hungarian reformed clergy, President Zoltán Beky delivered a sermon on WEDO to the Hungarians living in the greater Pittsburgh metropolitan area about the first Hungarian Christian King under whose reign the Hungarian people adopted the Christian religion.
