(This announcement was made both in English and in Hungarian.) The Convention uanimously accepted this recommendation. 17. The docket of the Convention as listed in the printed program was unanimously accepted by the Convention. 18. Vice-president Dr. Szabó occupied the chair at 4:15 p.m. President Beky presented his official report. (Exhibit C. Pull text of all reports, in English or in Hungarian, some in both languages, were distributed previously among the Convention delegates.) The Convention unanimously accepted the President’s report as a whole and referred it to the respective committee for further discussion. (The President omitted reading the paragraphs on “Fulltime Field Secretary” and “Youth Camp”—-pages 7 and 8 of the English text—because the Supreme Council will bring new recommendations on these subjects. In the course of the President’s report the Convention paid a one-minute silent tribute to members who had been killed in action in Vietnam.) 19. President Beky presented the report of the Secretary’s Office due to the resignation of Secretary Joseph Kecskemethy. (Exhibit C-2.) The Convention unanimously accepted this report and referred it to the respective committee for further discussion. 20. President Beky returned to the chair at 5:08 p.m. 21. The Convention heard the report of Treasurer Paul St. Miklossy. (Exhibit D.) The Convention dispensed with the reading of the statistics and unanimously accepted the Treasurer’s report and referred it to the respective committee for further discussion. 22. President Beky welcomed the Rev. August Molnár, Director of the Hungarian Studies Foundation. He also noted that the missing delegate from the New York District, Mrs. Vizsolyi, having arrived, the total number of valid voter will read 65. 23. Dr. Frank S. Horvath presented his report as Medical Director. (Exhibit E.) The Convention unanimously accepted the Medical Director’s report as a whole and referred it to the respective committee for further discussion. 24. Evening Prayers were offered by the Rt. Rev. Matthias Daroczy. After singing Hymn 64, President Beky adjourned the Convention at 6:95 p.m. inviting the delegates and guests to the official banquet of he Convention to be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn. Convention Banquet 25. The Convention Banquet was presided over by President Beky who introduced the Supreme Officers, the members of the Supreme Council and several honored guests. The Rev. August Molnár 'presented the Federation with the “Magyar Pioneer Award” of the Hungarian Studies Foundation. Former President Francis Újlaki was presented with the Federation’s Golden Medal. Special Medals were presented for their achievements to Mrs. Emma Áros, Dr. Tibor Köss, Dr. Daniel Vizsolyi, the Rev. Leslie Carey (absent), Albert St. Miklossy, Joseph Mil- nar, Jr., László Kernes, Joseph Arnosky, Albert Oris, and the Rev. Bertalan Negyessy. President Beky called the Convention to order at 9:23 a.m. 27. The Rev. Imre Bertalan led the Convention in the morning devotions. Plenary Session 28. President Beky opened the Plenary Session of the Second Day at 9:31 a.m. 29. Recording Secretary Marsalko read the Roll Call. Everyone was asked to stand for the purpose of personal introduction. The Roll Call showed all accredited delegates and guests present with the exception of Andrew Harto. 30. Recording Secretary Dr. Harsanyi read the Minutes of the Session of the First Day. The following corrections were made: Item 4, number of members of the Supreme Officers and of the Supreme Council are correctly 15 with 14 present; Item 6, name correctly reads: William Penn Fraternal Association; Item 18, the one-minute silent tribute was paid to all deceased members of the Federation during the last four years with special mention being made of those who have been killed in Vietnam; the name of Mrs. Irene Daroczy as organist was added to those who had participated in the opening Worship Service. The Convention approved the Minutes with the above corrections The President asked Dr. László Vatai and Dr. O-> Hamos to attest to the same. The President ait pointed Albert Bacsó and Dr. Louis Fury to be attestors to the Minutes of the Second Day’s Session. 31. The Convention heard the report of Controller László Eszenyi. (Exhibit F.) He illustrated his report with several wall-charts. The Convention unanimously accepted the Controller’s report as a whole and referred it to the respective committee for further discussion. 32. The Convention heard the report of Alex B. Eger, Legal Counsellor. (Exhibit G.) The Convention unanimously accepted the Legal Counsellor’s report as a whole and referred it to the respective committee for further discussion. 33. President Beky recessed the Convention at 10:55 a.m. and reopened it at 11:25 a.m. 34. The Convention heard the Accountants’ report presented by Jerry Wizon from the Accounting Firm of Blum & Wizon. (Exhibit K.) The Convention unanimously accepted the report as a whole and referred it to the respective committee for further discussion. 37. The Convention heard the Supreme Council’s report presented by Vice-president Dr. Stephen Szabó. The report included a message sent by Vice-president Gazéi Veszprémi read by Supreme Council-member Elmer Vargo. (Exhibit L.)
