At a later date, of which all contestants will be notified, an oral examination will be held for the finalists in each district covering their chosen topic and general Hungarian knowledge. ★ ★ ★ Topics for the essays in English and Hungarian are the following: 1. The Hungarians Freedom Struggles and Their Significance on a World Scale. — (A magyarság szabadság küzdelmei és azok jelentősége világviszonylatban.) 2. The Hungarians Role in the History and Cultural Development of America. — (Magyarságunk szerepe Amerika történelme és kulturális fejlődése terén.) 3. The American Hungarian Reformed Social and Religious Achievements and Their Effects in the Life of Hungarians Throughout the World. — (Amerikai magyar református egyházi és társadalmi alkotások és azok kihatásai a világ magyarságára.) A typewritten essay of at least 2,500 but not more than 3,000 words will be accepted on any one of the above topics written in either the English or Hungarian language.
