6 FRATERNITY 26. The Rev. Stephen Sziártó led the Convention in the closing devotion. 27. The President recessed the Convention at 6:07 P. M. until 9:30 A. M. Tuesday morning. Francis Vitéz led the Convention in the morning devotion. 29. The President opened the plenary session of the second day at 10:35 A. M. 30. The Convention dispensed with the roll call. Mr. Benedek reported the absence of delegate Andrew Szabó (Canton, Ohio), who was suddenly taken ill. 31. The President welcomed Rev. and Mrs. Andrew Szabó, visiting guests from Alpha, N. J. 32. The President asked Mr. Alexander Eger, the newly elected Legal Counsellor, to get himself acquainted with the duties and responsibilities of his position. 33. The minutes of the session of the first day were read by Recording Secretary Dr. Andrew Harsanyi. Item 14 was amended to include all the deceased members of the past quadrennium in the list of those in the President’s report. The last sentence of Items 23 and 24 were amended to read as follows: “Rev. Bertalan”, respectively “Rev. Ábrahám” were “accepted as members of the Convention with the right of deliberation only.” THE CONVENTION APPROVED THE MINUTES WITH THE ABOVE AMENDMENTS AND THE PRESIDENT ASKED MR. KURIMAI, MRS. KAYATIN AND REV. ANTHONY SZABÓ TO ATTEST THE SAME. 34. The President informed the Convention that Rev. Bertalan and Rev Ábrahám, having declared their intention not to attend the Convention anymore, left for home. 35. Vice President Béky occupied the chair at 11:20 A. M. and the Convention heard the report of Judge Albert A. Fiók, Legal Counsellor for the past four years. Director Syposs praised the services rendered by Judge Fiók. He also expressed his hope for the successful work of the new Legal Counsellor.
