FRATERNITY 3 parents with whom he came to this country as a little boy. After finishing his elementary and high school education in Connecticut and New York, he entered New York University from where he was graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He married Sophia Mancoll in 1923. Their marriage was blessed by two children, Elaine and Theodore, and four grandchildren. His association with our Federation goes back to 1928, which made him the oldest advisory member on the Supreme Council in years of service. The Federation will remember him not only as a friend, but as a good and faithful servant. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out particularly to Mrs. Zeitlin and the bereaved family. We share their sorrow sincerely. However, we know that his God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob . . . the God of all believers . . . who visited them by calling Jack H. Zeitlin home, will bless and comfort them. This assurance is expressed by the Psalmist David in the Twenty-third Psalm, which was read by the family’s Rabbi, as our friend was being taken to his last resting place: “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want; he makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies; thou anointest my head with oil, my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” ZEITLIN MEMORIAL FUND Everyone knows that Jack H. Zeitlin was an enthusiastic supporter of our charitable work carried on in the Bethlen Home, Ligonier, Pa., for orphans and aged people. He proved this annually through his generous gifts and especially last year when he donated $2,000 toward the Building Fund of the new Old People’s Home. The wish of his family was that in place of flowers, contributions be sent to the Bethlen Home in Mr. Zeitlin’s memory. We hope that many friends will respond! IMPORTANT MEETINGS IN OUR CONVENTION YEAR Through God’s help we have arrived once again at the threshold of a new year in the life of our Federation. When an old year draws to a close and a new year begins, it is customary that officers, board members and field workers give an account of their accomplishments, their production . . . and progress in general. These reports, as well as plans for the future, are heard and considered annually at the spring meeting of the Supreme Council. However, this year the Spring Meeting will be even more significant, because its agenda will include the taking over of the new Home Office building, the construction of which was completed in December, 1963, and the dedication of which will take place on Sunday, May 31.
