2 FRATERNITY How can we increase our assets and build an even greater juture? By our Hungarian Reformed people in particular and our American-Hungarian people in general, showing even greater interest in their own fraternal institution; and as our founding generation’s ranks thin out, our second and third generations, as well as our more recently arrived brethren realizing the tremendous potential strength that lies in greater unity. It is, therefore, not in the spirit of boastfulness that we report on our twelve-million-dollar assets. It is rather a reminder to the younger generations in our churches and throughout America that if they join our Federation, they will not only build an institution Hungarian in origin, American in spirit and Christian in character . . . but will provide better protection and security for themselves and their families; in fact, they will even indirectly help in the building of a happier, wealthier, greater and more secure United States of America. Toward this aim, let us build on! Let each member bring a new member every year! JOSEPH KECSKEMETHY GARDEN OF MY DEAREST FRIEND The garden of my dearest friend Is lovely as can be, For in it blooms the magic flowers Of love and memory. Among the other blooms these two Bless the lowly sod That gave them birth to honor more Creation’s Father, God! Flow’rs of truth and honor wave From earth’s brilliant field, And seed their strength and beauty In kindred hearts who yield Under God’s great, guiding hand Love and laughter free, For all these things so great and pure Will light eternity!
