8 FRATERNITY 1. Daily Hospital Expense Benefit and Miscellaneous Hospital Expense Benefit $10, $15, $20. Miscellaneous hospital services other than room and board and nursing care, up to 10 times the daily benefit ($100, $150 or $200) for each hospital confinement. 2. Surgical Expense Benefit $150, $225 or $300 maximums are available. 3. Comprehensive Medical Expense Benefit For treatment by a licensed physician or surgeon but not more for each treatment than $5.00 at home or in hospital, or $3.00 at the doctor’s office and one treatment per day. Maximum benefits for all treatments in connection with one disability may be selected in the amount of $200, $300 or $500. 4. Hospital Medical Expense Benefit $3.00, $4.00 or $5.00 as selected and for not more than one treatment per day. 5. Nurses' Expense Benefit $10, $15 or $20 per day up to 90 days for full time nurses at home or in the hospital. 6. Maternity Expense Benefit in family plans only The maximum benefit is 10 times the daily hospital expense benefit: $100, $150 or $200. Children born or legally adopted after issue date are automatically covered upon reaching the age of 14 days until the next rate due date. Additional rates are not required after the third child reported. In the increased hospital and surgical certificate single or family plans, daily hospital expense benefit must be included in the selection of any of the given combinations. This certificate is guaranteed renewable to age 65 with the consent of the Federation at rates then applicable. (See your AGENT for rates of these various plans!) PASSED BAR EXAMINATION We are happy to announce that one of our District Managers, Mr. Joseph A. Bonis, has been admitted to the Maryland Bar having recently passed the Stete Bar Examination for Attorneys-at-Law. We are indeed proud that one of our young Hungarian men, after several interruptions in his studies and overcoming language barriers successfully reached his goal. Mr. Bonis first studied in Miskolc, Hungary, receiving his degrees in Law and Political Science from the Academy of Law in 1940. Then while employed as legal consultant of the Hungarian Foreign Trade at Miskolc, he was drafted into the air force. After the war he received a fellowship from the Swiss-Hungarian Association and continued his studies at the University of Geneva doing graduate work in the field
