In fine, the six decades between 1790 and 1848 were the period of greatest reconstruction that the Re­formed Church of Hungary was to go through, not only in its outward form and shape, not only in its relationships with the other Churches of the land, not only in its position vis-á-vis the State, but also, and most of all, in the new spirit which it evidenced as the witness of a new inner vitality.
