FRATERNITY 21 The Federation, by issuing these certificates, agrees to provide for daily hospital benefits, miscellaneous benefits, maternity benefits, surgical benefits and accidental death benefit, under the conditions and in the amount specified in each certificate, payable exclusively to the member or his heir. The right of cashing-in of the benefits is non-assignable. Issuance of the hospitalization benefits can only be executed on certified and actual expenses. Bills and other documentary proofs of expenses are to be procured by the member. The Federation cannot cancel this hospitalization certificate before the member reaches 60 years of age, but has a right to levy additional assessments. Because the hospitalization certificate is only a rider attached to a life insurance certificate, its validity will terminate when the life insurance certificate is cancelled on account of the non-payment of the monthly dues or a transfer to a paid-up or extended type of certificate. Paragraph 86: The Federation will issue life insurance certificates from $250.00 to $25,000.00 (twenty-five thousand) to persons from 16 to 55 years of age. But the amount of accident insurance cannot be higher than $10,000.00 (ten thousand). Paragraph 109-e: Sickness limitations: mental and nerve diseases, tuberculosis, consumption of any organ, chronic alcoholism, cancer, chronic kidney disease, chronic heart disease, chronic women’s diseases. Paragraph 109-f: Hernia (instead of the word rupture). The Convention unanimously accepted the submitted amendments. 54. The Committee recommended that Paul Szentmiklossy, District Manager, who has faithfully and successfully served the Federation for 20 years receive from the Convention a token of $500.00 in recognition of his services, and also a vote of thanks. Furthermore, the widow of the former Secretary of the Federation, Mrs. Stephen Molnár, and the widows of the five District Managers, who died while they were in our service, namely, Mrs. Julius Melegh, Mrs. Emil Nagy, Mrs. Nicholas Kovács, Mrs. Gustave Kovács and Mrs. Michael B. Tusai, should also receive a monthly pension. The Convention refers this recommendation with favor to the Committee on Finances for numerical suggestions. 55. The President expressed his thanks for the labor of the Committee on Business Administration and Discipline. REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE ON FINANCES 56. Upon the request of the President, Dr. Bela Botykos introduced the report of the Committee on Finances and Auditing. (Report: Appendix No. 2.)
