20 FRATERNITY 50. The Committee recommended that the resolution contained in Paragraph 58 of the Minutes of the former Convention be invalidated immediately. The Convention accepted the recommendation. 51. The Committee recommended that there be a space left on the application forms with the declaration that the applicant is not a member of any anti-Church or anti-Government organization. The Convention approved the resolution. 52. Upon the request of the Committee, Secretary George E. Kerekes Borshy recommended the necessary amendments of the By-Laws for the final wording of which the Convention asks the Secretary and the Coun­selor-at-Law. 53. The most important changes of the By-Laws recommended by the Supreme Council are as follows: Paragraph 21: The Supreme Council must give a report of its activities to the Convention. Paragraph 30: In case of emergencies the officers may substitute each other for not more than 90 days. In case of longer emergency (vacation or illness) the Supreme Council will make arrangements. At the end of Paragraph 34: Their honoraria will be set by the Convention. After Paragraph 42: The Superintendent of the Bethlen Home. He shall give a report on the function of the Bethlen Home at the regular meetings of the Supreme Council and the Convention, and will report on all matters in which the final decision belongs to the Supreme Council or the Convention. He shall have advisory rights at the meetings. Paragraph 44: Organizers. Paragraph 66: Such members who will pay their dues in advance shall receive premium reductions indicated on their policies. On policies issued long ago, where this reduction is not specified, the quarterly advanced payments may be reduced one percent, the half- yearly two percent and the yearly payments three percent. Hospitalization. The Federation issues individual hospital benefit certificates to adult members from age 16 to 55 with no less than 1,000 dollars Life Insurance of any plan in force. The Federation also issues family hospital benefit certificates to members of the same age which includes the spouse and children from one to 18 years of age. No medical examination is required until 35 years of age. Above that age a medical examination will be necessary if requested. Both individual and family hospitalization certificates are guaran­teed renewable to the sixtieth birthday of the member at the rates specified in the Table of Values issued in 1953 and on the cer­tificate itself.
