16 FRATERNITY 34. Edmund Vasvary, Auditor, presented the following resolution, asking its acceptance: Whereas, the President of our Federation, Dr. Francis Újlaki, has just completed the twenty-fifth year of his presidency, in full knowledge of the faithful and successful work which our President has accomplished during the good and difficult years of the past quarter of a century not only in the field of Reformed Church and Federation work, but also in the field of universal Magyar life; And in full knowledge of that really human, Christian, American and Magyar spirit which characterized and gave success to his work accomplished in the Hungarian life of America during the past forty- two years; The Convention unanimously declares That our Federtion thank the Almighty with humble and grateful heart for that gift which He gave to our Federation and to our Hungarian constituency in our beloved President, Dr. Francis Újlaki, and that He, leading him during these long decades by His Holy Spirit, enabled him to do blessed and successful work, and during his leadership He caused our Federation to flourish. Our Convention further resolves That it express its thanks and gratitude to Dr. Francis Újlaki for his faithful and successful work in our Federation during these twenty-five years, and also for that never-failing Christian, American and Hungarian spirit which guided his work and which was always the firm foundation of our Federation’s activity also. And, finally, that our Convention express its thanks and gratitude to our President, serving a quarter of a century, by the standing up of all those present. The Convention unanimously accepted the resolution with the standing up of all those present, and the President expressed in a few words his thanks for this appreciation. 35. Charles Papp, Vice President, called upon the Convention that it should also express its appreciation toward the faithful fellow-workers of Dr. Francis Újlaki, President, during these long years, who greatly contributed with their work toward the Federation’s successful achievements. Upon his motion the Convention unanimously and by a standing ovation expressed its grateful thanks and appreciation to George E. Kerekes Borshy, Secretary; Emery Király, Treasurer, and Edmund Vasvary, Auditor; and asked God's blessing upon their future lives. 36. The President recessed the meeting until 3 P. M. 37. At 3 P.
