Upon the request of Dr. Francis Újlaki, President, George Borshy Kerekes, Secretary, presented his report to the Convention, in which he gave accounts of the results achieved by the Federation since 1936, illustrating with supplementary reports and detailed charts, comparing the similar datas of the four large national fraternal organizations. In connection with this comparison, he specifically emphasized that they are all basically firm organizations and the tabulations are not intended to show qualitative differences, but they are rather expected to give a comparative and comprehensive view of the actual situation. The Conveniion listened to the report with great interest and accepted it for further deliberation, ordering the same to be attached to the Appendix of the Minutes. (Appendix No. 4.) 16. The members of the Convention sang the hymn beginning, “Christ, who art sun and light”, and after the prayer led by Charles Papp, delegate, Dr. Francis Újlaki, President, recessed the meeting of the Convention at 6 P. Thus it served the interests of the Reformed Hungarians in America. Together with the answer of the President, speaking of the importance of the harmony between the Church and the Federation, and the blessings of the cooperation offered by the ministers and congregations, fhe Conveniion received the greetings with gratitude and urged the members of both organizations to continue their cooperation. 20. Paul Szentmiklossy, the President of the National Elders Association, expressed the best wishes of the organization represented by him. He emphasized that if the pastors and elders are working together in our congregations, their cooperation brings blessings both upon the churches and upon the Elders Association, with the result that the Federation will enjoy the fruits. The Convention acknowledged with thanks the greetings of the Elders Association. 21. Alexander Toth, Recording Secretary, read the letter of greetings from the American Hungarian Relief, Inc., in which Arthur Dobozy, Administrative Secretary, expressed its gratitude towards the Federation for its donations which were such a great help, and for the tireless efforts of the officers, Dr. Francis Újlaki, President, George Borshy Kerekes, Secretary, and Emery Király, Treasurer, in favor of the Relief activities.
