TÁROGATÓ A Canadian Magyar Monthly for the enlightenment and entertainment of Hungarians, edited by Dr. A. Czakó, published by The United Church oj Canada. Sixth year, No. 5. November, 1943. CONTENTS. The fall of the Fascist regime in Italy had its repercussions in Europe but nowhere as much as in Hungary. A good and reliable description of Hungary’s social and political conditions, a warning about would-be Darlans in Hungary, is given in our leading article by Count Michael KAROLYI, the leader of the Free Hungary Movement and former president of the Hungarian Republic. — A second article deals with the Danubian Federation, the Federation of about 115 million people and 10 to 12 countries in the Danubian basin. It was written by Dr. Max Ermers, a former Vienna editor who now lives in London. Needless to say, the Danubian Federation is of extreme importance for the peace of Europe and, naturally, of the rest of the world. In the NOTES there are quotations from Adamic’s book on Jugoslav guerillas; on a recent 5th colum activity; there are some notes of cultural importance from the U.S.S.R.; notes on vegetables; on Stokowski’s foreign accent, and on good music as may be heard on the radio. There is also a poem by Alexander FINTA: Believe in your Divine Origin. While cur friends and relatives die for the better future of all mankind the least we can do is to buy War Bonds. It is also the safest investment. ★ ★ ★ GOD SAVE THE KING. The editor’s book: Don Quixote, A Commentary, dealing with the theory of the world and life, has been published. Price $1.50 for bound copies, $1.00 for paper bound ones. Order from Dr. A. Czakó 423 Queen St. W., Toronto, Ont., Canada.
