H a m m e r H., Joó I., Mohay J., Eatkay I.: Changed immunologic reactions in pigmentary retinopathy

Immune reactions against different retina antigens, uveal pigment, and alpha-cystalline as well as the ratio of circulating T-lymphocytes and their reactivity were examined by leukocyte migration test in 18 patients with pigmentary retinopathy (PRP) and 9 persons without any immunological alteration served as control. In PRP cases mainly the retina fraction which contained the cones and uveal pigment inhibited the leukocyte migration while the other retina fractions and alpha-crystalline did not show any effect on migration. In the patients the ratio of T-lymphocytes decreased slightly in circulation, but their phytohaemagglutinin reactivity and suppression activity remained normal.

Bei 18 an Degeneration pigmentosa retinae (DPR) leidenden Patienten und bei 9 immunologisch gesunden Personen wurden mit Hilfe des Leukozyten-Migrationstests die immunologischen Reaktionen gegenüber Retina-Antigenen, dem Uveapigment sowie dem Alpha-Kristallin, ferner der Anteil der zirkulierenden T-Lymphozyten und ihre Reaktivität untersucht. Bei DPR waren für die Hemmung der Leukozytenmigration vor allem die Stäbchen enthaltende Retinafraktion und das Uveapigment verantwortlich, während die übrigen Retina-Antigene und das Alpha-Kristallin keine Migrationshemmung verursachten. Bei den Patienten hat sich der Anteil der zirkulierenden TLymphozyten in geringem Maße verringert, während sich ihre Phytohämagglutinin- Reaktivität un ihre Suppressor-Aktivität als normal erwiesen.
