782 ZSOLDOS ILDIKÓ the estates of Sárköz and Szenna, which constituted the majority of the family lands, lay in the counties of Szatmár and Ung, the treaty of Trianon meant that great parcels of land, sometimes already burdened by debt, were annexed to either Romania or Czechoslovakia, where they were, moreover, truncated by the agrarian reforms. The source basis of the study is mostly constituted by the documents of the family archives, now stored in fond 452 in the Arhivele Na{)ionale-DirecJ)ia JudeJ)eaná at Kolozsvár/Cluj.
