102 Sunkó Attila last third of the 14th century. But he - in spite of the fact that the plaintiff had a valid license (igaz levél,) — arrested the merchant and confiscated all his goods. Since the single sentence letter has survived only in a single truncated copy the judgement is unknown and it makes the determination of the practice impossible, but supposing that this special court served the solution of the legal cases of the courtiers (familiares aulae domini principis,) compensation and fining seems probable as a sentence. * It is needless to emphasize that on the narrow base (i.e. a single truncated document) of the historical sources referring to this problem, the question of the regular personal jurisdiction of the prince is extremely difficult to answer satisfactorily. However, the existence of a special court serving the privileged layer (familiares aulae,) showing a large number of common elements with the medieval military court in Hungary transported by the Szapolyai government structure to the Principality of Transylvania seems to have been proved.
